World Series Baseball 2K1

" A great game! The best realistic game!"

First of all this is the best baseball game ever. It's so realistic. I usually hit 8 homeruns in ASB 2001 but that's not the case in this game. Hits I can get on average of 6 a game which is also realistic. I don't understand why ppl complain about this game. It takes a while to get used to the batting and pitching system. And it's the most realistic controlls ever. I like the fact that you have to time your swings and get it into the middle of the cursor for a guaranteed hit which makes it realistic. The pitching is a innovative system. I don't cursors anymore now that I'm used to this system because it simulates real life.

Graphics 10/10
Absolutely beautiful! I've been to a game at Shea and it is exactly the same. The players look like their real life counterparts. The Animations could use a little work and there is some slowdown in some parts. But overall it's good.

Sound 8/10

The commentary can get boring and the crowd are really crappy. But the commentator at least acknowledges what's going on in the game. The crack of the bat is very real but the ball hitting the glove sounds too unrealistic. Other than that the sound is good

Gameplay 10/10

The best gameplay! I've never had this much fun. ASB 2001 was fun but it was too easy and too homer happy. The only things that are missing are some of the must haves like Home run derby and practice mode, the fielding must be fixed a little, and the ball seems really slow it should be like in real life. A 95 MPH gets to the plate in about .31 seconds but all baseball games only get there about .47 seconds which is a little bit slower.

Overall is game is the best. The stats are more realistic than any other games. Buy this game! And I can't wait til WSB 2K2 comes out! Look for me online and challenge me to a one on one game. I'll be using the Mets and my screen name will be either DMXFreshBlood or Speeddevil83. I can't wait! You'll be able to train your players too and it will be done by VC.
