Crazy Taxi 2

"I thought I was playing the original"

After all the hype about how Crazy Taxi 2 was going to be one of the last great games for the Dreamcast , I was excited, because I knew Sega would come through , and CT2 would hold me off until the 2K2 line hits. But alas I was wrong. This was a big disappointment. And I'll tell you why , this doesn't feel like Crazy Taxi 2 , it feels like Crazy Taxi 1.5 , y'know , like an upgrade , like the special remix version. There are new mini games and the ''Crazy Hop'' which is fun , but difficult to master . If you are a little rich boy (or girl) , spend the bread and snag it if you liked the original or unless you never played the original (even though it's pretty much the same and the original is only $20.00).

Graphics-9/10
Just like the original and just like most other games on the DC this game has great graphics , from bumper and frame sparks , to when getting big air seeing yourself fly fast with no nastiness. High quality , quick , and beautiful graphics really help the score , because from me ,if this was a PS One game , it would've gotten a 3.

Sound-10/10
The phat ass tunes really help this game's overall score (even though it's not to high) . They flow nice and help get your mind off how much money you just wasted on this game . They have some hardcore punk to nice hip-hop , but if you like music ,take the cheese and buy a CD . The music doesn't make up for the money that's going to be down the drain from many a little kids (damn you sega!).

Control-5/10
This is a dark spot of this game . The cars are hard too handle sometimes , but not too bad to affect the score . ''What is it?'' you may ask. It's that damn ''Crazy Hop/Jump/Skip/Crawl....whatever!'' It's really needed to get big cash , but very hard to master . Another thing to just piss people off and it doesn't make the game any more fun.

OK , this is a fun game , I mean it's the supposed sequel to the acclaimed Crazy Taxi , but while it doesn't feel like CT2 , it feels like an upgrade . If you have the original save your money , the ''Pyramid'' game [while fun(and difficult)] isn't enough to save this game from mediocrity , the marketing will easily sell this game , but many people will tell their friends and sales will drop. Power to the people!!
