Crazy Taxi 2

"Crazy Taxi. Says it all."

Another Sega classic that is one of the best games you have ever played... no doubts about it, you may believe. It's pretty true that this game loses some fun without the multiplayer mode...

Graphics: 10/10

Sega bet on this! Very advanced graphics, exploring all the possible Dreamcast potential. It's nice to see the way the people enter in the car and interact with the driver! The cars and building are done with superb graphics, and the bike even better. How to explain better than this?.. These graphics are the best you've found on Dreamcast, surely, on a car game.

Game Play: 8/10

The biggest mistake was that you can't to better than class C on 5 minutes of work... the game counts the money, and doesn't care with the time we had to get it. Although, the car is nice to drive, the bike is faster than the car (gasp!) and the difficulty isn't easy or hard... it's very correct. The buttons are a bit confusing, but they are done on a nice way. It's a bit hard to do the Drift Hop if you are rookie on car games.

Story:none

Is there any story known instead of ''You'll be given a yellow cab and let's see if you can get a license!'' ? I think not, and it's not needed for this game.

Audio:10+++/10

Whoa! Offspring! Maybe you don't like them, but you will have to confess: This game is much better when you are listening to them! Known songs like ''Walla Walla'' or ''No Brakes'' are enough to give 10 to this audio... but there's more. The voices are perfect, the chats between the driver and the costumer are almost true, and the car sounds are so good that I just have to say that they are the best on car games! Excellent audio!

Video: 9/10

I think there aren't more videos than the replays and watching the customer entering in the car... but it's nice to see the people, each one on their own way, entering in 4 different cars. The replays are very good, four different angles and the speed perspective is nice. Nicest when you put the ''Y'' camera and watch the crazy driving that the taxi is in! And you must remember: it was YOU that performed it! Pity that the replay is only avaiable on the Crazy Pyramid.

Replay ability:8/10

Hmmm... maybe this game turns into a bit repetitive, but you must try to beat the Crazy Pyramid. It's easy and fun at the beginning, hard and boring at the end. But it doesn't matter, because the prizes are too good. Two towns is a good choice, but it's a bit boring. The Crazy Pyramid saves the replay ability.

Buy or Rent?

Tough one. Have you mastered the original Crazy Taxi? Rent this game. Are you a rookie on this game? Buy. The Crazy Pyramid is tough and will take a while for rookies to beat, although for the experts it would be so easy that would be boring...

The game would be perfect but... the lack of multiplayer game is too bad. But it's still good to see the way these graphics were made. And the amount to customers to catch, each one with his/ her own style is very good. Two cities is also a good thing but I still have to beat the other levels to get more secrets on Crazy Pyramid. Goodbye, I'm going to play this game!
