I still can't believe it. How in the world can some one make such a crappy game and still have the guts to release it?
THIS GAME SUCKS! It's the worst soccer game I've ever played!
Sure, this game has its upsides; the graphics are great and you can save replays, but that can't make up for all the things that is wrong with this game.
Sega must have thought that graphics are half the game... WRONG! Sure, the graphics in Virtua Striker are great, but what good is that? The only important thing in sports games are the controls and the gameplay, and that's where this game has made a BIG mistake.
    
First of, the controls. They are the most frustrating ever! When you press a button, it will take about two seconds for the players to respond. And that's two seconds to many. Your player usually loses the ball before he can shoot, and that's EXTREMELY frustrating.
    
Second, the gameplay. Virtua Striker was originally an arcade game, and they've decided to directly port it to the Dreamcast. There are only national teams, no club teams. You can't substitute players, they don't even have names! And there is a timer when you take a free kick! What's with that? And there's no 4 player mode! A total waste of the Dreamcast capacity.
The matches are absolute no fun at all. The TERRIBLE slow controls combined with horrible sound effects and a retard as commentator have succeeded in eliminating every bit of fun out of this game.
    
I'm not going to waste anymore words on this game, just make sure that you'll avoid it at all costs!

GRAPHICS 8/10 Very good, everything is very colorful and smooth, but the high-resolution players still look a lot like plastic dolls to me. To bad it's the only good thing in this game.

SOUND 4/10 A moron as a commentator and the most horrible sound effects when you make a sliding tackle have tackled this part of the game for good. Far below average

GAMEPLAY 1/10 AWFUL! The worst ever! Words can't prescribe how annoying the controls are and the game just isn't any fun at all!

REPLAY VALUE 0/10 That's right, ZERO! I've played it for a few hours, hoping that it would become better after a while, but it didn't and I never want to play it again.

CONCLUSION 2/10 Avoid this game at all costs! I'm serious! You should rather spend your money on UEFA Dream Soccer, because that's a REAL good soccer game for the Dreamcast!
