Red Dog: Superior Firepower

Imagine you're a little tank. A nice looking thing with lasers and hi-tech shields and stuff. You can go on a lot of different terrain and blow things up. Now imagine there's a war over the control of your planet,and the missions you go on are critical in the outcome of the war. Sure you could kill a few hundred soldiers and take out maybe 20 tanks before you die,but are you saving the planet?

Red Dog puts you in the driver's seat of a tank with some heavy firepower. You've got your shields, lasers, turbo booster, missiles, floating side arm weapons,and some nifty extras that you'll have to complete some tough challenge missions to get. These challenge missions allow you to upgrade your tank so you can go on a killing spree(on aliens and bad guys of course)on the real missions. In addition to missions,Red Dog has seven multiplayer options available to play,ranging from Deathmatch to bomb ''tag'',with a hefty fifteen maps to wreak destruction on.

Graphics:Red Dog's graphics are pretty sweet.The explosions are cool,the frame rate is good and the cameras don't really bother you enough to notice the tiny problems.
One thing that would have been nice would be to see some snow or sand on the tires,but when you use your turbo booster the snow or sand kicks up and you can see rubber skids coming from your tires,theres a lot of these little effects in the game that make you appreciate it a bit more.

Sound:The sound kicks major butt,only downside is you might not like the in-game music,its not annoying,it just doesn't pump you up to destroy things.

Gameplay: The tank controls like a dream,its easy to learn its weapons and movement,but for that extra level in gaming you must master the ability to shoot on the run,use your turbo boosters in time of need,and do the ''power slide'' to pulverize an advancing line of enemies. The way the tank moves on the terrain is very accurate,it slides on snow,makes quick stops on metal floors,and grips well to sand.

Replay:The missions are pretty long,and pretty difficult,in addition to there being multiple routes to get to the next destination,there are secret rooms and areas which you can only find with a keen eye.The multiplayer mayhem is fun,and it's a guarantee that you and your friends will enjoy the innovative multiplayer options.

This game is a must for someone looking for an action game which doesn't require any tedious puzzle solving.Get in your tank and complete your missions,that isn't to say it's too easy,some missions require you to use your smarts,you'll understand which missions these are when you buy the game.
