"Flawed, but somewhat satisfying"

BMX biking is loved by many. I happen to like this sport. I played Mirra of the PS2, and it was pretty good. Then, I saw Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX for Dreamcast, and it had 'The best BMX game, now on dreamcast' by IGN I believe it was. The game looked nice and I thought it would live up to Tony Hawk, but it doesn't. Not one bit. I bought this game, and I came away somewhat disappointed.

Graphics: 5/10 These graphics are grainy looking. The environments looks extremely grainy, andd the chatacters have little detail on them. The levels are undetailed, and look terrible. Its not much different than the PS ONE version. The shadow affects aren't bad though, because this was all that was visible during the crap camera angles.

Sound: 2/10 The sound affects in this game are junk, and the music is not my style, or anyone else's. The music gets annoying, especially when I fall, and it plays some stupid tune. These tunes in the game are just a slap on the face. I really wish they had some better sounds in this game, because it would have raised its value to much needed standards.

Gameplay: 6/10 This is the best part of the game. The gameplay is annoying at first, but then improves as I learned how this game played. The gameplay can keep me coming back, but not without the codes. Its not the traditional activision gameplay I expected, but it does what it needs to do.

Control: 4/10 The controls take time to learn and adjust to. You can't simply press left on the D-Pad and the B button to do a trick, rather the D-Pad or the B button first, then the next. I wish they tweaked the controls to fit the sega Dreamcast controller. It works though.

Presentation: 7/10 The game has some OK in-game movies, but other than that, its not that great. The sound-effects on the menus are a pain too, they are old-fashion clicking noises.

Value: 6/10 This game is my WORST game I own. The graphics don't live up to anyones standards, nor does the sound, gameplay, or controls. I wish I had just returned the game before the case broke and I knew what a lame game I had on my hands.

Overall: Rent this game, but don't buy it! Buying this game will just make you waste more time returning the game.
