"Getting Old, But Still a GREAT game!"

For anyone who remebers when Resident Evil 2 came out for the PSX, it was a Revolutenery game. It had 2 disks, exelent graphics, A great and origonal storyline with many plot twists, And 2 mini games (4th survivor and To-Fu).
Next came the dual shock version of the game, and it included a new mini game called Ex. Battle, in which you could play as Leon, Claire, Ada or Chris to find bombs and destroy all of the evidence. Very good. Then came the N64 version of the game. This had A violence control and blood color change (Typical for Nintendo... :P). This added replay value with the Randomizer which changed the location of many items. This also featured Ex. Files, which were 16 new files to link the games together. But in tradeoff, Lost the other Ex. game : Battle. Now, as the system is dead, Capcom Releases this game on the Sega Dreamcast! Enough ranting from me, lets go on to the review its self.

Graphics: 6/10
This game is starting to show its age. The FMV cutsecens just plain SUCK. pitiful when coparing it to the almighty RE: Code Veronica.

Sound: 8/10
Voice acting still isn't the best, but all weapons sound great, and all of the weapons sound great, and i Love the music scores.

Control: 8/10
VERY GOOD! However, you will spend ahwile tinkering with the controls. Newbies, Be warned!

Replay: 10/10
No argument here. To get the full story, you must beat the game 4 times. 3 Hard mini games (I just can't beat To-Fu) and all of the things to unlock in gallery mode, expect to spend a lot of your life playing.

Note: This game is not for the squimish! The high amount of blood, the ability to blow zombies heads off with a shotgun blast, and seeing people ripped in half with a lot of blood is what you get with this game. Early on, for example, a owner of a gun shop is eaten by zombies in front of your eyes! Also, if a zomie is faking dead, and bites your leg, you will kick its head off, and the head will role off screen!

Recomended age: 13 or so

To Buy or Rent: Buy it, its about 10 dollars brand new at most stores.

Final score: 8/10
This is a great game to Keep with your dreamcast as you wait for Resident evil on the Nintendo gamecube. this game holds the record for fastest selling PSX game, and you will soon see why. After you buy it of cours!
