Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001

Review by MJC

"Let me get this straight Capcom, you'll bring your awful arcade games US but not one of your best games too date?"

WOW, just WOW. This game is really cool, Capcom didn't just top their last game but they made one of the greatest fighters ever!

Graphics:

If you saw CvS you know what it the characters look like. But Capcom decided to rid of the old 2D background and made some awesome 3D backgrounds, and they didn't come out like those piece of garbage backgrounds in MvC2. I can't really describe them but they are very SNK'ish and that's a good thing!

Sound:

I don't really care much for techno music but these songs are actually pretty good and very fitting with the game. I wish they would have did remix's of classic Capcom and SNK songs, but what are you gonna do. Other than that it is the usual grunts and letting your opponent know what move you are currently doing, ''Burning Knuckle!'', ''Hado-ken!''.

Gameplay:

Thank god they added 3 on 3, I'm not too crazy about that Ratio BS, but I'd still wish it had Tag. SvC for NGP had it! Also a they added 4 more Groove's (6 in all now) and I am still scratching my head trying to figure out what is the difference with all them. Normally I'd say all the Grooves's is a stupid idea but it adds to the replay value and if you don't like them just stick with C and S Groove's. I could go on all day with the gameplay but I don't want type it and you don't wana read it.

Replay Value:

In about the first day I had almost everything unlocked. But on the upside at least there is not so many secrets you'll be tired of the game by the time you get them.

Overall: 8

Worth buying?

You bet your sweet ass! Well... if you are a SF or KOF fan of course. If you own a PS2 you are better off getting it for that cause it is cheaper then importing and the command list and endings are Japanese. Anyway this is easily one of the coolest fighters ever made and whether you own a DC, PS2, or Gamecube I highly recommend you get your self a copy.
