"Excellent First-Person Shooter!"

House of The Dead 2 is one of Sega's best First-Person Shooters out to date. If you want a Dreamcast First-Person shooter, get this!

Story 9/10
The story is actually pretty plain and simple, unlike the Complex Resident Evil Story that just keeps adding more and more story. The time is sometime in 2000, and towns and cities have recently become infested with zombies and other creatures. Your mission, is to stop these monsters, and find out who caused it, and why.

Game play 10/10
Wow, this Game is really a lot of fun. If you played this game at Sports Plus, or some other Entertainment Center, you'll notice this game is really active and you'll be dealing out your quarters, just to try to win. This game is not very difficult, you just need good aim, and know where to hit. The game play is fun and addicting, and there are many secret goodies if you play on Original Mode, to keep you hooked. There are also practice modes, to do some difficult objectives to improve your skills, and Boss Modes, to practice on some bosses.

Sound Effects 8/10
Sound effects are good, just like most games are. Nothing I really haven't seen...but the gunshots fired, zombies getting decapitated. Sounds like that, they fit the environment nicely.

Music 8/10
Excellent Music. I think it's great for the situations, a small fast tune for the stages, and a fast-paced song for fighting bosses, and it changes at the bosses get more difficult.

Do I need a Light gun?
Nah, you don't need one in my opinion. I hear sometimes the light gun can be difficult to aim with the cross heirs, but the controller is fast enough to hit all the monsters, so, you don't really need it, unless you want a real arcade feeling experience.

What else do you recommend?
To tell you the truth, I don't think there was any more first-person shooters for Dreamcast...I could be wrong, search the web to find out more information on more First-Person shooter games, but if you own a PSX you can try the Time Crisis Shooter game. Which is just as fun. Or try Resident Evil: Survivor if you want another Zombie shooting game

Rent or Buy?
If your not the biggest Fan of First-Person Shooters, and are looking for one, to give it a chance, rent it. You'll probably like it! If you’re looking for another First-Person Shooter for your collection, consider this one greatly. It is a game that will definitely keep you busy for a while.
