"Not as good as the movie, but excellent!"

Yay! A spider-man game for the Sega Dreamcast! This should be something you will want to add to your Spider-Man game collection if you are a Spider-Man fan.

Graphics 9/10
Simply excellent! The graphics for the Dreamcast are beautifully done and it greatly improved visuals in general. FMV's are as well beautifully done, almost as if you are watching a real live Spider-Man episode. The graphics aren't as Hi-Tech as Spider Man: The Movie video game, but hey, it was good for it's time.

Story 10/10
Ahh...the classic story to pretty much every super-hero's adventure...The city is under attack by some of Spider-Man's most commonly known villains, and Dr. Octopus up to his old tricks. Your objective is to stop his minions, then
Finally, stop him before he corrupts the whole city.

Controls 6/10
All right. The controls are great. The moving is fine. So...why give it a 6/10? Well. Webbing really bugs me in this game. I don't understand why you go DOWN when you keep doing your webbing, instead of up. Sometimes my webbing doesn't even work, and I plunge to my death and have to start the level over. Controls can use some work in this game.

Effects 10/10
What awesome special effects in this game! It's fun to hear Spider-Man do his funny quotes for special situations. Glass cracking when a web ball hits the window, it's very nicely planned out.

Music 9/10
I love the music for this game. Things are pretty quiet when you’re moving around the area. Then the music gets more of a action theme when you start to fight a enemy, and the battle music changes each time you enter a new stage (plenty of stages!)

Replay Value 10/10
Now this is what every game should have for replay values. Depending on some of your actions in the main game, or in training, you can unlock many new costumes for Spidey to unlock, and some to enhance his abilities. There is even a secret called ''What If Mode'' which alternates the game in some minor and major ways, to increase replay value.

Rent or Buy?
Consider buying this game if you are a big fan of the Spider-Man series or video games. It's a worthy one to add. If you’re not that big of a fan, and you want to try a Spider-Man game, like me, rent it. You should find it very entertaining!

Recommendations
Wow, I can't even begin here...SOOO many Spider-Man games out. If your looking for most recent games to buy, buy the new Spider-Man: The Movie game for GameCube, Xbox, or Playstation 2. That game is a bit more entertaining then the Dreamcast version, and better graphics. Either way, both are good games to get.
