Review by Knight of Myth

"If you are a fan of the series, or a fan of mech games then you will definately love this game!"

INTRODUCTION: In Gundam Side Story 0079 you will battle it out using awesome mobile suits. There are really cool weapons, levels, and of course......Robots! This game has nothing to do with the T.V. Series Gundam Wing, but is a really cool game you should check out if you are interested in the genre. It has really great graphics, excellent sound, and superb gameplay. However, it's very short. But you will probably be glad you bought this game.

GRAPHICS:10/10 Woah! Awesome! This game's graphics will make you feel like you are actually in the cockpit of a giant mobile suit! This by far the best looking Dreamcast game I've seen. They are extremely detailed. You can see every little tiny feature on the robots. They're really smooth and clear. Easily the best feature of this game, the graphics are sure not to disappoint!

SOUND:9/10 Another great feature of Gundam Side Story! The sound will pull you right into the missions. You will get nervous when you hear enemy shots in the distance, and start running! Whether it's the sound of your engine overheating or your suit getting blown to pieces by the enemy's shots, you'll definitely appreciate this games sound.

CONTROLS:10/10 Although the controls get a ten, they are anything but simple. They are difficult to get the hang of, and even harder to get used to. The reason they get a ten is because there's not much more Sega could have done to make them easier. There are simply a lot of commands for you to issue to your suit, or even other suits! You will often find yourself trying to fire a weapon, but you end up switching them, and getting blown to bits by the enemy in your confusion. However, once you do get used to them you will be able to use them with little difficulty.

GAMEPLAY:8/10 In Gundam Side Story, you will attempt 9 various missions. You basically have to blow up stuff or fight enemies. You'll have lot's of fun doing it, but the missions seem really repetitive. You can blow up anything in your environment, although it's not recommended. The gameplay is really good, but seems too repetitive.

REPLAY VALUE:6/10 The first thing you'll notice after you beat the game is, that it's WAY too short! So you will probably want to play it again. But then you'll end it even faster since you're going to be better the second time around. Not the game's strongest point.

DIFFICULTY:10/10 Quite frankly, the game's darn near impossible. The hardest game I've ever played. The first few missions are pretty easy, but then around the sixth mission, when you have to take on five highly advanced mobile suits, because your comrades got the crap blown out of them, you'll see what I mean. Well...... Good luck! You'll need it!

OVERALL:7/10 Too short, Too short, Too, short! There are only 9 missions. Oh well. The graphics are superb, the sound is really great, and the gameplay is excellent. Gundam Side Story 0079 is definitely worth checking out!
