"DO NOT throw away your PSX yet!!"

I am going to give Blue Stinker.....I mean Stinger, a 2 because I've not encountered a 1 so far! I love the DC. It's capabilities are nothing short of amazing. Too bad Blue Stinger does NOT exploit even 10% of what this console can do. *SHAME* ON Sega for even allowing this game to be published. I makes the DC console look bad. Anyway, on to the logistics........

Gameplay -
Difficult at times. This is a "go anywhere" game but more often than not it is an arduous task to get there i.e. speed at which boxes are pushed, getting on top of or behind boxes, and swimming is the worst! What is with the gold coins? As if just running around isn't hard enough, now we have to watch where we kill mutants so we can pick up all the coins! If you kill one of these guys near a railing, say goodbye to half of the loot! The map is TOTALLY WORTHLESS.

Story -
Your on vacation (on a boat) and a UFO crashes into a crater near Mexico. *SOMEHOW* you wash up on the shore of the facility and are instantly confused for the rest of this painfully entry level game! You beat up on mutants and solve some puzzles. Blah Blah Blah........ Audio/Video -
Don't be suprised when you notice the characters limbs are a bit choppy and "disconnected". Everyone, get a mental picture of a shotgun in your hands.......OK now squeeze the trigger and pretend you hear the sound of a supressed machine gun! What a let down. Instead of a chest punching **BLAST** you get a bearly audible rat-tat-tat. Also the shotgun is a single barrel, yet whenever you fire it, 2 shells get subtracted from you inventory! After being awestruck by Soul Calibur's lip sync and character "smoothness" you will puke after one "conversation" between your character and ANYONE else (especially Dogs!!). What a waste of the Dreamcast's capabilities! I sincerely hope this is improved upon in the next "generation" of DC Games.

Replayability -
I made it through once. I would rather run face first into a brick wall before I ever put that disc in my console again!

To buy or to rent? -
All I can say is that I'm glad I borrowed it from a friend! Even if I spent $5 to rent this sorry excuse for a game, I would have considered myself a SUCKER! If you *PURCHASE* this game, you have more money than brains.

This game should be given away to all the developers as an example of WHAT NOT TO DO!
