After playing all of the 4 Tony Hawk Pro Skater games, the original for Dreamcast is the best in my opinion. The game is so complex and yet so addictive. While the new ones come up with more detailed levels, more modes, and different career mode styles, it seems to be too complicated and really less fun than Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

Gameplay- 10/10, the gameplay in this game is amazing,the various tricks and skaters each exhibit a different style which enables a huge fun factor. My personal favorite skaters are Kareem Campbell and Rune Gliffberg (mainly cause of the Christ air). Each level is so different in every way and unbelievably fun. If you just want to try out new tricks or search a level, try free skate. Career mode is the game's best feature. Trying to collect all of the tapes and win all of the medals is an absolute ball. Only flaws in gameplay, levels could be a bit broader and no create a skater mode! Only one level is an ideal broad level, School Miami, with tons of hidden warehouses and rooftops, and the Mall New York is a big time points level. Once you get the hang of it, the game is a blast. Sometimes I think of how much it could've flourished if it had online play!

Replay- 9/10, excellent replay especially with friends, a great party game. In multiplayer, different games like graphetti, in which whoever scores a better trick in one area you get your color posted on the area, whoever has the most areas claimed wins, and horse, where one player does a trick and the other player must do the same amount of points or more. Career mode is relatively easy, and wont amount up to more than 1 and a half hour per skater.

Graphics- 7/10, I measured the rating on Dreamcast standards. The game has above average graphics for it's system and year. It does include many glitches and bad camera angles but with the gameplay and replay, the graphics are really overlooked.

Sound- 4/10 a few of the soundtrack songs appealed to me, but some of the selections can be extremely irritating and distracting. I also noticed most songs sounded similar. I'm not even sure why I'm giving it a 4, an EXTREMELY GENEROUS 4.

If your a Dreamcast owner, this game is a MUST BUY!One of the finest games on the console, it is almost flawless. If your a fan of the other three games you'll LOVE this!
