Resident Evil 2

"A good port"

I got this game for ten dollars so I think it was worth the money. On with the review.

Graphics:3/10
This game is pretty old so the graphics are crappy and outdated. Especially if you just finished playing the RE remake. All I got to say about this part is that the graphics suck.

Camera:6/10
The camera angles are all static. This can be annoying because you might run into a few zombies because you couldn't see them on the screen.

Story:8/10
Right after the mansion inccident Clair, Chris's sister, is in Racoon City. She meets up with Leon and they get seperated in a fire, this is all in the opening cutscene so it doesn't really count as spoilers. That's all that I'll say about the story, because I don't want to put in spoilers.

Gameplay/Control:8/10
The gameplay and the controls are the same as every other RE game. The controls, in my opinion, are good. Up moves who ever you are in the direction that they are facing, and left and right move them to their left and right. The gameplay is good. You collect keys to unlock new doors and try not to get killed by all the zombies. You have to save up ammo and herbs depending on what difficulty level that you're playing on. The game has a mode called, ''Arrange Mode'' which is availiable at the beginning of the game. This mode gives you unlimmited bullets for a bunch of guns like the rocket launcher and the machine gun. Overall that mode is pretty cool but very easy.

Replay:7/10
There are two characters, Claire and Leon, to play as. I think his name is Leon. But anyway their games each aren't way to long, but combined and the extra time spent playing Arrange mode gives this game good replay value.

Scare factor:7/10
I have never done this category before, but since I need 400 words for this review and since this is a Resident Evil game I put it in. This game has scared me so much some times because of zombies jumping through windows and stuff like that. The reason I gave it a 7 is because when you see the zombies they look kind of gay. So other wise the game will scare you,probably.

Buy/Rent:Buy. Seeing how there is just about nowhere to rent this game on DreamCast I suggest you pay the ten dollars for it. It's not worth way to much more, so if you don't have this game yet try to find it cheap.

-Controls might take a while to adjust to for some people
