Blue Stinger
Review by Blaze gamer
"Too much Blue!"
Out of all the colors in the word why did it have to be blue. The producers made and entire game out of blue! You would think in most resident evil type games it would be red, or black or something a bit more creepy. Here's my review.
Game Play:8 The whole basis of the game is trying to save some island from all these freaky zombie dinosaurs that looks like people from Michael Jackson's Halloween specials. During your adventure you are able to take side missions, buy weapons, and switch out between two different people that have different attributes. Sound fun...well it is. There's nothing like killing monsters and getting paid. Yes you get paid to. Eventually you get to buy food, guns, and ammo for your journey. Weapons consist of shotguns, handguns, bows, axes, clubs, and my favorite the missile launcher. The two main characters in the game are Eliot Ballade, and some fat dude Dog Bower. You are able to use both in your adventure. The game does and excellent job making the monsters look good. Its not as good as resident evil, but it gets the job done. The fact is many didn't like this game because they are too drawn into the resident evil series. Nobody even gives the game a chance. The only differences is resident evil been doing it since the Super Nintendo and early Play Station days. All in all Blue Stinger has decent game play.
Graphics:10 Ah yes graphics. Excellent! Beautiful backgrounds and monsters that put Pokemon to shame. The graphics really put you in the game, it makes you feel like your in a movie, or a very strange episode of Barney the dinosaur.
Control:5 Not to hot. The camera had no mercy. One minute the cameras fine a your taking out the bad guys, the next your being murdered because the camera put you in an angle you can't do anything! You feel like your on a reality TV show! The camera makes the control the worst.
Replay: 6 Yeah you'll play it again maybe once to unlock something, but then it will become a another game to go in your dirty cloths hamper. I guess it will be called Blue Stinker. ( I know that was corny)
Final Words: It was fun, but the color blue threw me off a lot. Imagine playing resident evil or house of dead 2, then out no where a Teletubbie shows up. That's how I felt. There was too much color to make the game any scary. Its still great fun and will supply you with a weekend to dream about mutated dinosaurs. I would buy it for 2.99 used.
Fin.
