Tennis 2K2

"Tennis is Fun!"
Introduction: In this review I will be telling you guys/girls why I think that Tennis 2k2 is one of the finest sports games on the Dreamcast console. I will go into detail about the graphics and various options. Also, I will speak of other things. So sit back, relax and enjoy my review.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are very nice for a Dreamcast game. The characters are very well detailed. What I mean is that when you do a good shot, you can actually see your character's facial expression change. The clothing that your characters wear is also nicely done. The best part about the graphics have to be the courts. Each court is beautifully crafted, you can tell the difference between clay courts, grass, carpet and hard courts. They all have a distinctive look about them. I really do enjoy the way this game looks.
Create a player. Probably the best thing to do in any game is the create a player option. In this game when you create a player, you will have the option to
A. Dress your character
B. Choose the style of which you hit your backhand
C. Choose his/her face
D. Choose his/her hair
Later on in the game you will get more options for your created player, I go into that in a minute. When creating a player, you will have to do something called the World Tour mode. I'll also explain that in a minute. Basically the World tour mode builds up your character's ratings, since they start from zero. This is something that is really fun to do, and it takes a good amount of time to finish.
World Tour: In World Tour mode you will be able to increase your player's ratings by training him/her in numerous events. Also, you will be able to buy your character new items. I won't get into what you could buy, that would spoil it for you. During World tour mode you compete in tournaments against the computer depending on what your rank is. This will provide a good level of difficulty, the higher rank you are, the harder the computer is. You will also be able to compete in doubles matches, those are a lot of fun to do. World Tour takes a very long time to do, but it is well worth it to have a dominate created player.
Options: The aren't to many options in this game, that is why it doesn't get a perfect score from me. They have exhibition match and tournament. You can play with a friend versus computer in the exhibition match, that's very challenging. The tournament is just that, a simple tournament. You can change the number of sets, this way you could make the matches as long or short as you'd like. This is by far the weakest point of this game, if you could look past the few options, you'll be alright.
Closing: I forgot to mention that there are also real tennis players that you can use if you don't want to create a player. They have stars such as, Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Patrick Rafter just to name a few. This game is a really good buy for anyone who doesn't feel like playing the typical basketball or football game, or if you're a fan of this cool sport. Anyone who plays this should have a lot of fun. Thank you for reading my review. I hope it has been helpful in educating a little more on this fine game. Good luck and good bye.
