Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage

"This is the worst game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I am a die hard dreamcast fan, and i have all of the good games(DOA2,Soul Calibur,Power Stone, and soon to have RECV.)And when i first read about this game i thought it was going to be the best yet, but i was wrong, dead wrong.I bought it yesterday and took it back 4 hours later after beating it half asleep.

Graphics (9):If you want to buy a game for just good graphics this is the game you want to buy.The graphics are the greatest,and it is very smooth.The only thing that scared me was the main guy has a naked fairy for a side kick. That is just disturbing.But all in all the graphics are the best part of the game.

Story (3):The story is not only horrible it is boring,My friends had to keep me awake while playing this game.The part about him being a mercenary is cool but that is about it.

Control (4): The controls are bad too. You use this big sword that only can slash in 2 directions and a limited number if items. Which most of suck. The control is very bad. From the time you press the button you are already hit because it is so slow. Plus there is not auto aim for any of your weapons which would be nice.You always miss the bad guy unless they are at point blank range.

Replay Value : Yes there is some replay value ( i will attempt to tell you without spoiling).After you beat the game you get a special mode or item depending on what level the game was set on. So you have to beat the game like 5 times before you have it all ( If you do want to see what mode gives what go to the FAQ and Walkthrough section.)

Buy or Rent: Well as far as this goes , do neither unless you want to rent the game and ohhhhh ahhhhhh at the graphics, because that is all its good for.

****Note: I bought this game and took it back in 4 hours. One reason is that there is no walking around what so ever, it is fight, movie,fight, movie. So for you metal gear or soul reaver lovers. This is a big dissapointment.****
