Resident Evil Code: Veronica

Review by K0LDSTeeL

"This game is the best game to buy!"

Well, this and Marvel vs. Capcom are the ones to buy. I saw this copy at Best Buy, and you know what, it was the last copy there, period. I clenched the copy in my left hand, went to the cashier hastely and bought it. So far, this is one of those best games to buy.

Graphics 10/10
WHOA! CODE: Veronica takes full advantage of the Dreamcast's hardware, and shows off too. One thing I like is the Real World System (RWS), move one thing, it is going to be there next time. At times I would get confused between a pre-rendered cutscene and an in-game cutscene, just to show you how powerful the DC is.

Sound / Music 10/10
These sounds just freak me out, especially the patter patter of the dead dog's feet, which you know means trouble. The groaning and moaning of the zombies is good, if not better at times. The music just tells you that you better move or else somethings gonna kill you. The music scares me every time it comes on, well not like a AHHH! scare but more of a ''Holy monkey crap!'' scare.

Control 10/10
The control is horrible with the standard Dreamcast controller, but my sources (SMcFadden) say that this game is better with the arcade stick. I agree with them. I like that the camera doesn't go off some where, and there is no control for it, makes the game more scary.

Gameplay 10/10
The Resident Evil series has been know for gameplay and replay value, and this one still holds true to that concept. The many different scenarios will make you come back for more. They also kept the secrets in the game for you to win, such as weapon with unlimited ammo or battle mode.

Challenge= 9.6
Replay=10

If you have not bought this yet, I do not know why you are reading this part, well go and get it.
