Dead or Alive 2

"Another great fighting game for the Dreamcast"
Dead or Alive 2
Graphics-10
Just like Soul Calibur, the graphics are purely mind blowing.
Sound-10
Brilliant music, but regrettably, all the speech is in japanese. That’s funny, I thought DOA2 was only released in the US.
Characters-10
You get your choose of 12 different characters. Each character has different costumes they can wear during the battle. The number of costumes differs from person to person and ranges form 2 to 4. You got two American wrestlers from America (one resembles Hulk Hogan), another guy from America that’s a kick boxer, and they’re all speaking japanese! How strange is that? The female players lack the bounciness that the original had (waterballons lack the bounciness that the original had).
Control-7
Confusing at first. But once you get started playing the game, it’s still confusing. That’s when it comes in handy to re-map the buttons.
Replay-8
It’s good, but it’s not that good. Once you’ve beaten the game, that’s pretty much it. I could think of at least one thing that may be added to boost the replay, game secrets. As far as game secrets go, there are a total of, let’s see…ZERO! You can, however, download a VMU save from booyaka.com that will give you some extra stuff, but not a lot. The biggest thing about this save is you can get Kasumi kind of…ahh…on the unclothed side. The save though is not normal in the game, the guy just hacked into another game save to unlock some stuff. The only thing worth playing over and over again is the tag team matches. You and your buddy can team up to go against two cpu-controlled enemies, or two other buddies or about any combination you can think off.
Overall-9
It’s a good game, worth buying. But a Soul Calibur Killer? Not hardly. The only thing that DOA2 offers that Soul Calibur doesn’t is the tag team (4-players). Other then that, DOA2 really lacks on the gameplay side.
