"A Good Idea Gone Horribly, Horribly, Wrong."

Oh man, was this game ever a disappointment. When I first bought it, I was thinking this was going to be a great, original game... an "Evolution Simulation RPG", what a concept. What I got in reality was a slow paced piece of crap.

From the very first time you turn the game on it is insanely boring... you first start off in a little lake, eating, and feeding on smaller creatures until you evolve enough to take on larger creatures. The area is small, blandly designed and textured, and there is no music whatsoever. The only sounds will be the annoying walking of the crabs that will rip you apart unless you run like hell. You will be in this lake for a good few hours, so get used to it. From there, the game goes to an ocean floor. And unfourtunatly, the developers wanted to be as realistic as possible with their ocean, so it is HUGE. It is so big it slows down even the Dreamcast significantly, making the game near unplayable(if it wasn't already that is...).

Graphically the game is decent. It may have a better polygon count in each of its characters than a Playstation RPG, but each of those polygons is wrapped in the blandest, simplest textures I have ever seen.

I can not stress enough how bad a game this is. I played it for about 10 hours, 10 painful hours, until I gave up on it getting any better and tossed it on the shelf and haven't thought about it until I started writing this reviews. Skip this game at all costs. If someone walks up to you and says, "Here is a free copy of Seventh Cross.", run... it is THAT bad.
