Marvel vs. Capcom

"Is It Worth The $50.00? I don't think so."

When Marvel vs. Capcom came out I didn't want it. My little brother really wanted it though, so my mom bought it for him. I was happy when he got it though because I thought the game was going to be pretty cool. I got the game the day it came out, and haven't played it for at least 2 weeks. Why? Because in my opinion this game sucks.

Gameplay: 4/10 - At first, this game seems pretty cool. Has a decent amount of characters, has some moves to learn (combos win the game) and has some modes to the game. I played the game in multiplayer for a while, and it got pretty boring after a hour. I don't have four controllers, so I couldn't get to play the 4 Crossover mode, but it's pretty much the person who does the most combos win. If you don't have an Arcade Stick, then you shouldn't buy the game. It's pretty hard to play on the regular Dreamcast Controller.

Graphics - 5/10 - What can I say. There's nothing much here that the Playstation couldn't do. Simple 2d graphics. The characters look ok and the backgrounds are ok, but there is nothing spectacular. This looks like a Playstation game instead of a Dreamcast game. I would wait for Street Fighter to come out.

Sound - 6/10 - The sound is alright, I really love some of the background music just because it sounds cool. There's not that much though to the game. My Mega Man speaks in Japan for some reason, so there are some glitches. The sound is pretty basic.

Replay Value - 3/10 - After the first day, I got bored. And I like fighting games because I play Soul Calibur like every other day. This game will get boring if you don't have a group of friends over everyday. One player mode will get stupid after you unlock the 5-7 secret characters. Pretty much, I haven't played this game since I got it.

Overall - 4/10 - This game is not good. Wait for Street Fighter to come out for sure. You will get bored very soon. If you are having a party rent it if you are curious about the game, but otherwise forget this game.
