Dynamite Cop!

"Sequel to Die Hard the arcade game..provides plenty of beat 'em up fun"

Dynamite Deka 2 is a 2 player romp through a cruise ship under siege. You can choose one of 3 characters and 3 different missions. Reminisent of Final Fight and Streets of Rage, you must battle seemingly endless waves of baddies on your quest to rescue the president's daughter. The action gets rather repetitive extremely quick and it seems you are doing the same thing over and over again. The games saving grace is it's beautiful visuals, which showcase the DC's palette of colours, and the various weapons which you come across the way. Some more interesting weapons of note are the apples which are on a plate, you choose to either throw them or eat them for energy. Great party game as it is really easy to learn the play mechanics and the 2 player interaction is fun. Although the game is rather short, there are 3 different routes you can take through the ship to find the end boss. The game is not very original as it seems to use the same engine as the original Die Hard, if you've played Die Hard to death in the arcades or on your Saturn, I would not think that this game has enough originality in it to warrent a purchase. If you are a new comer to Die Hard or Dynamite Deka, don't miss the boat this time as you would miss a fast, high energy game, that provides short term thrills. Only consider purchasing this game if you have friends or a sibling that plays DC with you because the solo mission is sorely lacking in the adrenaline department and does'nt deliver when it needs too. Have your fingers ready because they will be neded for all the button mashing you'll do.
