SoulCalibur
Review by DreThug
"The best fighting game ever made."
I admit, I never really liked fighting games. I barely had any fighting games for any of my systems. But when I saw Soul Calibur I really wanted to get it. I didn't get it on the release but I got it for my birthday. Wow this game is so fun.
Gameplay: 10/10 - This game is so great. There is a mission mode that takes days to beat. You have to beat the arcade mode with every character to unlock special stages and special characters. This game took a week for me to fully beat. It's not one of those fighting games that you just swing your sword. You have to master blocking, moving around in the 3d environment, and other stuff to beat your opponent.
Graphics - 10/10 - This game has the best graphics I have ever seen. (NFL 2K is just as good though) The characters look great, the stages are fabulous, and the art peices you unlock don't look so bad either. If you want to buy a game for good graphics, then I highly recommend you buy this game.
Sound - 9/10 - With the great graphics and stuff like that you barely hear the sound. But there is a lot of sound. The characters talk good, even though I can't understand what they say. The backround music is great. But there is nothing really spetacular about the sound.
Replay Value - 10/10 - This game takes a long time to completely beat. After you beat the game, you still have the versus mode to play with your friends and family. This game will never get old, and you will play it until a better fighting game comes out. Which will probably be never.
Overall - 10/10 - This game is great. One of the best Dreamcast games out. If you own a Dreamcast then you must have this game. It has the some of the best graphics and it is really fun. Don't be scared to dish out $50.00 for this game, it rocks.
