Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise from the Ashes

"Good game, but like a great movie, it's too short for it's own good."

Gameplay: Here's the story, it was thursday, I went to the mall with $50 to burn, I was in the mood for a
new dreamcast game, and wasn't sure what to buy, I was hoping Tony Hawk was out, but not fr a few
weeks, I had rented Crazy Taxi, and put it pretty low on my list to buy, but what did I behold?? could it
be, a japanese game translated, from a GOOD anime cartoon, well I asked the sale's clerk what he
thought and said it was OK, well I bought went home to play it, and was done by saturday afternoon, WAY TOO SHORT! but now
on to the gameplay, the controls are excellent one of the best points of the game, the only thing though is that the laser saber
battles were a little hard to control I found it easier taking you enemy out from a distance, though it is still a cool idea. With some
special cheats (when you beat it) you get some special options which will let you do special thing (obviously, new weapons, some
pictures of family(? OOh, Ahh, Cough, cough)And my favorite longer booster fuel. My one hugest complaint is that there are only 9
missions and they last at most 25 minutes each, it's not the longest game you've ever played folks, but still those 9 missions are
great with plenty of action to satisfy, and above average voice acting.

Graphics: Ahh, these are a site to behold, when i first views the opening cut scene for the first level i said ''hmm nice FMV scene'' but
as soon as I started the mission I found out, ''THE CUT SCENE WAS RENDERED WITH THE IN-GAME GRAPHICS ENGINE!!!!'' Amazing!
the level of detail on the Gundams is mind-boggling, and the city's and landscapes look marvelous, truly this game's strongpoint.

Sound: Sound effects were pretty boring, but the voice acting is better than I expected for a jap. translation. The Music i can't
critique since the battle noises, and your gundam's footseps are so lous. But it was probably good(.)(?)
