Version History
===============
v 2.60 (12/14/02) - Added some comments about the linked "Bane"
moves under the "Combination Attacks &
Upgrades" section. This will hopefully help
explain how to do the bane moves.
Added a few more tips from Jakob Parsens &
Will Steal for an elusive treasure chest in
Mission 5: Amon Hen.
Added a tip for the Cave Trolls under the
secret mission, courtesy of HowYouDoin1002.
I want to thank everyone out there who has
helped to contribute to this guide. All tips
and hints are helpful. There are many others
who provided the same tips as those in this
guide and that help was GREATLY appreciated.
Thank you!
Also, added "Hosting Log" section and did
some rearranging of the general layout.
V 2.55 (11/19/02) - Added some cheat codes to the "SECRETS &
CODES" section. (Thanks to SumnerSecrets for
these.)
v 2.50 (11/18/02) - Fixed some things and added a tip on how to
obtain the elusive treasure chest Mission 7:
Plains of Rohan. (Thanks to Rafael Murphy
for this.)
v 2.00 (11/17/02) - Updated the secret mission to include
strategies for Legolas and Gimli. Also, added
tips and strategies for Mission 4: Balin's
Tomb and Mission 9: Gap of Rohan. These tips
were provided by Michael Mittag. Added some
alternate general strategies for the secret
mission, courtesy of AzureXVIII. (Thanks
guys!)
v 1.00 (11/11/02) - Completed Helm's Deep: Hornburg Courtyard
strategies for both Legolas and Gimli, so
the entire Walkthrough section is complete!!!

*********************** I. PURPOSE OF BEING *************************
***********************************************************************
So, I wrote this FAQ to (hopefully) help gamers and give them an
in-depth look into the video game “The Lord of the Rings: The Two
Towers.” Okay, I was bored too.
This is my first FAQ. I attempted to play through every level with
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, documenting strategies specific to each
character. Some of the strategies are the same, but some (especially
later levels differ quite dramatically) It might be a little long,
but I hope it’s helpful for you.

CONTROLS
========
Guard = Square (S) button
Speed Attack = (X) button
Fierce Attack = Triangle (T) button
Push An Enemy = Circle (C) button
Bow & Arrow
-----------
Press and hold the L1 button. You can aim by using the left analog
stick. A little bright dot will appear above your target. To fire
an arrow, press (X) or (T) while holding down L1. Your character will
auto-aim most of the time, but there will be instances when you might
have to do the aiming manually.
However, be careful when firing arrows, because it could leave you
very vulnerable to attack.
==============
ATTACK RATINGS
==============
When you attack an enemy, you will get an "attack rating" for how
skillfully you disposed of that enemy. The four ratings are:
Fair
Good
Excellent
Perfect
The higher the attack rating, the more experience you will gain. To
get high attack ratings (good, excellent, perfect), try to defeat your
enemies without getting hit. If you defeat enough enemies without
getting hit, you Skill Meter will fill up and glow. When this happens,
your attacks will inflict more damage - for a short period of time.
Example: one hit will defeat an enemy, giving you a "perfect" attack
rating for that enemy and thus rewarding you with more experience.
Filling the Skill Meter Quickly
-------------------------------
To fill the skill meter quickly, use special combination attacks.
These can be purchased after each mission. You will know when you
pull off a combo attack because the name of the move will appear in
the bottom left corner of the screen.
Just make certain your combo attacks actually hit you enemies,
otherwise your skill meter will not fill up. If you do this, you'll
soon be hacking with joy at your foes.

==================
TIPS FOR UPGRADING
==================
After you complete a mission with each character, purchase ALL the
upgrades you can. Don't worry about saving up your upgrade points for
later. Just buy all the upgrades you can between missions because they
will most likely be very helpful in the missions to come.
AND NOW . . .
***********************************************************************
************************* VI. DA WALKTHROUGH ************************
***********************************************************************
=======================================================================
---------------------MISSION 1 - PROLOGUE (ISILDUR)--------------------
=======================================================================
Part I - Guard & Speed attacks
There is a long intro movie cutscene, and suddenly you are dropped in
the middle of the Orc carnage.
Don't worry - you can't die here, so just follow the button
instructions that flash on the screen to get a feel for the game
controls.
Guard = Square (S) button
Speed Attack = (X) button
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
After fighting a bit, there will be a rendered cutscene with archers
and some orcs running around.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part II - Fierce Attack
Here you will go back to the action and learn the fierce attack.
This attack is to be used on enemies with shields. A fierce attack
will break the enemy's shield, allowing you to then use other attacks
to damage it. If you do not use fierce attacks, to destroy their
shields, you cannot damage them.
Fierce Attack = Triangle (T) button
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Soon, Mt. Doom will erupt.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part III - Go Berserk!
Just get a feel for how the controls work, trying differing tactics
to what works best for you. Practice trying to string attacks together
and build up your skill meter, so you will get "Perfect" attack ratings
and gain more experience.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Okay, so when he sees that you winning, Sauron will show up and reek
havoc on your armies. But, Ilsildur will take up his father's sword
and defeat Sauron (in one blow, I might add). The One Ring will pass
to Ilsildur, but to the grief of us all, he does not destroy it . . .
The story then shifts to Aragorn.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
=======================================================================
------------------MISSON 2 - WEATHERTOP (ARAGORN ONLY)-----------------
=======================================================================
Part I - Get ready to rumble!
The Ring Wraiths will attack. Run to the bonfire in the middle of
Weathertop and attack it to light your torch. Once your torch is lit,
you must attack the Ring Wraiths. The most effective way to do this is
to parry their attacks with the (S) button and then use a fierce (T)
attack to hit them. Make sure your torch stays lit, otherwise you
will not damage the Ring Wraiths. If you get knocked down, your torch
will fizzle - just re-light it.
Just keep parrying any attacks using the (S) button and then smack
them with fierce attacks (T). Each Ring Wraith takes about three hits
before it will run away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Once you defeat two Ring Wraiths, Aragorn will tell Frodo to keep away
from the Ring Wraiths. Frodo then dons the ring and becomes invisible.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the action. Now, when you fight the Ring Wraiths, a gray Frodo
can be seen scampering about Weathertop. Defeat one more Ring Wraith
and . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE
The Wraiths get angry and surround Frodo. (Yes, even though he is
invisible, they can still see him). The Wraiths stab him. Now for
the tricky part . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part II - Protect Frodo!
Frodo is down! Repeat - Frodo is down! Now, you must fend off the
Ring Wraiths AND protect Frodo. An energy meter showing Frodo's life
will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
A bunch of Ring Wraiths will close in. Only concern yourself with the
ones that get close to Frodo. If they get too close, they will stab
Frodo, and that's not good 'cause if Frodo dies, it's game over.
Again, fend off ring wraiths with fierce attacks (T). Make sure your
torch stays lit and don't get too far away from Frodo because this will
leave him vulnerable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
After defeating the Ring Wraiths, you will have completed the mission
and will be rewarded with a movie cutscene of the forming of the
Fellowship in Rivendell. Here, you will acquire two new characters:
Legolas and Gimli!

-----------------------MISSION 3 - GATES OF MORIA----------------------
=======================================================================
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
The Fellowship travels to Moria. Gandalf and friends decide to wait as
you scout ahead for danger.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------
AS ARAGORN
----------
Part I - The Mountain
Gimli will join you. Run to the bottom left corner of the screen to
attack the treasure chest in the ice. Break it with a fierce attack
(T). Inside is an experience block that'll give you, well experience
points. Those are always handy.
Run to the right and around the cliff. When Gimli says, "There are
orcs - many of them," three orcs will attack from the cliff on the
left. Dispose of them.
Move ahead a bit and three orcs will bust out of the mountain side and
attack. Remember to use combo attacks . . .
Farther ahead, two orcs will burst out of the rock, and soon two more
will join them. After you defeat them, be sure to check out the
treasure chest in the newly formed cave on the left. Inside is a
"full life" potion. Move on.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Gimli runs out ahead to take down some more orcs. But an orc creeps up
behind him. Aragorn will shoot an arrow, taking out the enemy.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the game. Here, there are three orc archers that shoot flaming
arrows at you. The fastest way to take them out is to use your bow and
fire arrows back at them. Take out the three orc archers quickly with
your arrows because in a minute three to four more orcs will jump off
the mountain side and dash at you with that hungry look in their eyes.
Once finished with that, dash down to the ravine, and run across,
making sure to pick up any items that the fallen orcs drop.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
When you run across the ravine, Gimli suggests entering the mines of
Moria. While this is going on, orc archers set up camp on the
mountainside and begin launching a barrage of arrows. Aragorn deflects
them, and it's back to the action.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, there are three orc archers in the distance, but you've got other
things to worry about because an orc will rush down to where you are
standing and pick on you. Once you tell that orc to go away, quickly
take out the orc archers with your arrows (this is the only way you
can hit them). Once you do this, more rabid orcs will appear to cause
you trouble. Fierce (T) and Combo attacks work best here. Use them
to build up your skill meter.
Run on ahead. More walls will break, and more orcs will attack (I see
a pattern here). If you need to, break the treasure chest - it has a
quiver of 20 arrows.
Running forward, you will soon meet two orc archers. Don't worry
about firing arrows, just run up to them and take them out with your
sword. While you're disposing of the archers, three more orcs will
run down the path to attack you - so be ready. I recommend getting
rid of the archers first because they can just be annoying.
Move on up the mountain path to find two orcs just waiting to attack
you. Use combo attacks to quickly take them out quickly because you
also have to worry about two new orc archers. Just fire your arrows
at them. They'll each go down with two hits. One of the archers will
drop a quiver of twenty arrows - be sure to pick it up.
Part II - The Marsh
Okay, after this, move on ahead. The camera will shift, and you will
find yourself in a swampy marshy area. Make your way forward through
the muck. Two orcs will leap up from the water and attack. Knock
them down with fierce attacks. If they don't die right away, press
the R2 button to thrust your sword downward into the water, finishing
them off.
Move quickly through the water and get up on the shore as soon as you
can. This will give you greater maneuverability. More orcs will jump
out of the water and attack. Take care of them and walk back into the
water to move ahead. There will be some archers firing at you again
(surprise!). Hit them with arrows first if you can. But be careful
because more orcs will jump out of the water and come after you.
Next is a place where you will have to move through a pretty narrow
area of the marsh. But there is a problem: a bunch (about four)
archers are firing at you. Stay away from them and shoot a few arrows
to take them down. Be sure to dodge their arrows because this area can
get really frustrating if you get hit by about four arrows in a row
(ouch!). DO NOT move forward until the archers have been defeated
because if you do, an army of orcs will rise from the water, creating
a bigger problem than you want.
Once the archers are defeated, quickly move through the narrow area of
the marsh and get up on shore as fast as you can. Remember that army
of orcs I told you about? Well, here they come.
If you are low on life, there is a treasure chest with a "full life"
potion in it at the end of the shoreline. A few more orcs will attack.
Just take them out with your sword and march onward toward the
pond/swamp area next to the Gates of Moria.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
You will see The Watcher. Gimli is knocked down, and you must fight
it alone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
******************
BOSS - THE WATCHER
******************
Don't worry - if you die here, you can continue without having to go
through the level again. You'll just have to fight The Watcher again.
The Watcher stays in the water (except for its tentacles which slap
you silly if you're not careful). You need to get him to show his
face. But first, quickly pick up the quiver of arrows conveniently
located on the left end of the shoreline - you will need them.
Now, wade into the water and wait for a tentacle to appear. When one
does, get close to it and make sure to parry its attack (this is key).
Once you parry, the tentacle will be shocked briefly and flail in the
air for a moment. Use this opportunity to quickly slice the tentacle
(with a quick or fierce attack). Then, the Watcher will roar, and its
head will surface on the water.
You must attack the head, but you cannot attack it directly with sword
attacks. Use your arrows to.
Note: Only fire ONCE every time the head surfaces. Trying to hit it
with more than one arrow will only waste your precious arrows.
Okay, just keep slicing the tentacles and hitting its head with arrows
until the Watcher goes away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Now Gimli is miraculously okay! Thanks for the help, man. The
Fellowship enters the long dark of Moria.

orcs - many of them," three orcs will attack from the cliff on the
left. Dispose of them.
Move ahead a bit and three orcs will bust out of the mountainside and
attack. Remember Legolas doesn't really have any special combo attacks
yet, so be careful.
Farther ahead, two orcs will burst out of the rock, and soon two more
will join them. After you defeat them, be sure to check out the
treasure chest in the newly formed cave on the left. Inside is a "full

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Gimli runs out ahead to take down some more orcs. But an orc creeps up

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the game. Here, there are three orc archers that shoot flaming

fire arrows back at them. Take out the three archers quickly with your
arrows because in a minute three to four more orcs will jump off the
mountain side and dash at you with that hungry look in their eyes. If
you see them coming, you can probably take out one or two with your
arrows before they get to you because Legolas is rather quick with
arrows.
Legolas deflects
them, and it's back to the action.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, there are three orc archers in the distance, and there's also an
orc running down to play with you. Take out as many of the archers as
you can before the running orc gets to you. Okay, now smack this
running orc silly with your swords and then quickly shoot the
remaining orc archers with your arrows (this is the only way you can
hit them). Once you do this, more rabid orcs will appear to cause
you trouble. Fierce (T) attacks work best here. You can defeat the
orcs in two hits - just don't get surrounded because with minimal
combo attacks right now, Legolas isn't the greatest at hand-to-hand
warfare.
Run on ahead. More walls will break, and more orcs will attack (I see
a pattern here). If you need to, break the treasure chest - it has a
quiver of arrows.
This next bit happens pretty fast. Running forward, you will soon
meet two orc archers. Defeat as many of the archers as you can with
your arrows quickly because three more orcs will run down the path to
attack you. And since you've got your bow ready, take out or at least
weaken a few of the rushing orcs as they head toward you. If they get
too close, just wail with your swords. Now, take out any remaining
archers.
Move on up the mountain path to find two orcs just waiting to attack
you. Use fierce (T) attacks to quickly take them out quickly because
you also have to worry about two new orc archers. Just fire your
arrows at them. They'll each go down with two hits. One of the

find yourself in a swampy marshy area. Make your way forward through

engage in swordplay. When in close combat, if an orc doesn't die right
away, press the R2 button to thrust your sword downward into the water,
finishing him off.
Move quickly through the water and get up on the shore as soon as you
can. This will give you greater maneuverability. More orcs will jump
out of the water and attack. Same strategy - you've got arrows: USE
THEM! Shoot all the orcs here that you can; it makes it much easier.
Walk back into the water to move ahead. There will be some archers
firing at you again (surprise!). Hit them with arrows first if you
can. But be careful because more orcs will jump out of the water and
come after you.
Next is a place where you will have to move through a pretty narrow

Once the archers are defeated, quickly move through the narrow area
of the marsh and get up on shore as fast as you can. Remember that
army of orcs I told you about? Well, here they come. Take out the
first wave of orcs with your arrows (what else?), but resort to your
sword if they get too close. Then, finish off any orcs in the distance
with your arrows. (If you're feeling brave, I suppose you could take
them on with sword attacks, although I don't recommend it.)
If you are low on life, there is a treasure chest with a "full life"
potion in it at the end of the shoreline. A few more orcs will attack.
The orcs in this area might swarm in pretty fast, so you will probably
be forced to use sword attacks. Fierce (T) attacks tend to work well
here, as two taps of the (T) button will probably kill an attacking orc.
Just be careful not to get surrounded because Legolas can't take hits
like Aragorn and Gimli can. After you're finished here, march onward
toward the pond/swamp area next to the Gates of Moria.

Back to the game. Here, there are three orc archers that shoot flaming
arrows at you. Don't worry about them yet because in a minute three to
four more orcs will jump off the mountainside and dash at you with that
hungry look in their eyes. Just run into the attacking orcs head-on,
taking them out with mighty speed (X) attacks. After that, defeat the
archers on the ground level and then hurl some throwing axes (just like
you would arrows) up at the archer on the ledge to finish him off.
Remember though, Gimli is a bit slow with the throwing axes.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, there are three orc archers in the distance, and there's also an
orc running down to play with you. This could get a bit tough, but
defeat the running orc with speed (X) attacks, as fierce attacks are
too slow here. Stop (when you have a free moment) and hurl some of
your throwing axes up at the archers. Some more orcs will appear,
and you'll have to contend with them for now. Negotiate with extreme
prejudice using speed (X) attacks. Once the orcs are gone, dispose
of any remaining archers.
Note: Be sure to pick up any health packs the orcs drop - you'll
probably need them.
Run on ahead. More walls will break, and more orcs will attack (I see
a pattern here). If you need to, break the treasure chest - it has
some throwing axes.
Running forward, you'll bump into two orc archers. Just run up to
them and smack them with speed (X) attacks, remembering to parry or
dodge any incoming arrows. While you're making the archers eat steel,
about three more orcs will run down the mountain path, and like good
little minions, start to pound on you. Just use speed attacks again to
get rid of them. Take out the archers, if you haven't already.
Move on up the mountain path to find two orcs just waiting to attack you.
Dispose of them with speed (X) attacks. Ahead, there are two archers.
Chuck some throwing axes at the archer on the ledge. When he goes down,
just run up and hit the archer who is blocking your path with another
speed (X) attack. He'll drop a few throwing axes - be sure to pick
them up.

Next is a place where you will have to move through a pretty narrow area

Gimli (the tank), just stay back and throw some axes to take down a few
of the archers. But don't worry about all the archers just yet.
Instead, get up on the shoreline, and quickly move through the narrow
area of the marsh and get up on shore as fast as you can. Remember
that army of orcs I told you about? Well, here they come. Head
straight for the treasure chest with a "full life" potion in it at the
end of the shoreline. A few more orcs will attack. Take care of them,
dealing with any archers last. You might take a beating here, so be
careful.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
The Fellowship enters Balin’s Tomb. Gandalf reads from an ancient
tome. Orcs break through the door, and the battle ensues.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------
AS ARAGORN
----------
Aragorn is fairly descent in hand-to-hand combat because of his quick
strikes. So, don’t be afraid to throw him into the thick of battle.
Many orcs will rush through the door, ready to attack. Use fierce (T)
attacks to break their shields. Try and use combo attacks like
Isildur’s Swift Terror (X X T) to build up your skill meter. Stay
relatively close to the door but not right next to it because you
don’t want to get surrounded. This way, you will be able to take down
many oncoming enemies.
If you build up your skill meter to where it glows, run directly to
the door. Stand in front of it and use a series of speed (X) attacks
to slaughter a bunch of orcs with a “perfect” attack rating. This is
an effective way to build up loads of experience points.
Don’t even bother with using your arrows. Just use this time to get a
better feel of how combo attacks function. If you get surrounded or
find yourself low on life, just run around to the back of the tomb.
Scout the area for life potions because there is a good chance some
orcs have dropped a few. If there are no life potions, just continue
to run around, dodging enemy attacks until your buddies in The
Fellowship defeat some orcs, and a few potions DO drop.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Soon, the floor will rumble, and a Cave Troll will lumber in. He
doesn’t look too happy. Now for the fun part . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
*****************
BOSS - CAVE TROLL
*****************
Part I - The Club
Okay, the Cave Troll will come straight for you. I’ll give you a tip -
MOVE! You can’t parry his giant club that he is so fond of swinging.
So, you can use one of three methods to beat him:
First Method:
Use the rest of the members of The Fellowship to your advantage. Let
them handle things for a while. Run away from the Cave Troll
momentarily, letting him attack someone else. (There is no one else
to protect here - just yourself.) When the Cave Troll swings his
club, there will be a moment when hi pauses to pick up his weapon
again. In this moment, run in behind the Cave Troll and slap him with
a fierce (T) attack. Be careful not to get in front of him, as one
whack of his club can take as much as 1/4 of your life (and that’s not
fun).
Second Method:
Attack him head-on (if you’re brave and can time it right). After he
swings his club, dash up and hit him with ONE fierce (T) attack. Then
run away quickly because he will swing his club at you. Be careful to
only tap the (T) button ONCE when attacking him this way because if
you tap it two or more times, you will perform two quick swings that
leave you vulnerable to a blow from his club - and you WILL get smashed
(ouch!).
Third Method:
When you fight the Cave Troll, use the L2 button to jump back. That
is, run into him, deal two fierce blows, then jump back. The fierce
blows will interrupt the troll's attack, and jumping back will make
him just narrowly miss (and often take out any enemies that were
creeping up on you). Repeat. He'll go down fast. I've yet to try and
combo the guy. (Special thanks to Michael Mittag for this method.)
Just continue using one of the above methods, ignoring the rest of the
orcs in the tomb. However, some orcs will drop life potions
periodically, so keep your eyes open for them. Try and pick up a life
potion before the Cave Troll’s life drops by 1/3 (trust me - you’ll
need it) because when that happens . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
The Cave Troll trades his club for a Chain Whip. Aragorn will then
leap up on a ledge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part II - The Chain Whip
You have a very limited space to move here. But make the most of it.
There are two sections to this ledge: a left portion & a right
portion (great names, huh?). On each of these sections stand three
pillars which you will use for defense.
But enough about that because right away, an orc will attack you from
the left. Dispose of him with fierce (T) attacks.
Now for the chain-wielding Cave Troll. Get behind a pillar quickly
because the monster will whip his chain at you. And wouldn’t you
rather have a pillar take the hit rather than you? After he whips his
chain, step out slightly from behind the pillar and fire your arrows
at him.
Note: I recommend firing no more than two arrows at a time if you
shoot three or more at a time, you will most likely get smacked
by the Cave Troll’s chain.
After firing your arrows, get behind the pillar again. But be warned:
the pillars will eventually break, leaving you open to attack. If
this happens, move to another pillar. If you find yourself in the
unfortunate situation where ALL of the pillars are broken, run around
and wait for the Cave Troll to whip his chain (away from you!). In
the brief moment that he retracts his weapon, fire some arrows (again,
no more than two at a time, unless you’re brave) at him. Repeat this
process.
Now, from time to time, a pesky orc will make it his goal in life to
annoy you by jumping up on the ledge and attacking you. Get rid of
him with fierce (T) attacks. Sometimes, the orc will drop “full life”
potions.
So, if you find yourself running low on arrows, don’t worry, just run
to the end of the right portion of the ledge. There you will find a
quiver of arrows conveniently waiting for you. Pick them up and fire
away. Oh, and the quiver will periodically reappear.
Another Strategy:
If you stand near a pillar, the chain won't hit you. So you can keep
standing beside a pillar and shoot arrows into the troll while he
keeps bashing his chain. If you do this, the troll drops around the
same time that you run out of pillars. (Special thanks to Michael
Mittag for this strategy.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
When you beat the Cave Troll, he will fall over. (Yay!)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
***You have completed Mission 4***
----------
AS LEGOLAS
----------
Legolas is pretty good for the hand-to-hand combat in this area.
Many orcs will rush through the door, ready to attack. Use fierce (T)
attacks to break their shields. A good combo attack to use here would
be Elrond’s War Rush (X X T) - if you purchased it. This will build
up your skill meter rather quickly (about two combo attacks in a row
will do it). Stay farther away from the door so as not to get
surrounded. But, if you pull off enough combo attacks to get your
skill meter glowing, don’t be afraid to rush the door and start
hacking away at orcs.
As with Aragorn, don’t bother with using your arrows. Just use this
time to get a better feel of how combo attacks function. If you get
surrounded or find yourself low on life, just run around to the back of
the tomb. Scout the area for life potions because there is a good

momentarily, letting him attack someone else. (There is no one else
to protect here - just yourself.) When the Cave Troll swings his
club, there will be a moment when hi pauses to pick up his weapon
again. In this moment, run in behind the Cave Troll and slap him with
a fierce (T) attack. Legolas cannot take hits like Gimli and Aragorn
can, so be careful here.
(ouch!).
Note: Legolas’ attacks fierce (T) attacks don’t do as much damage as
Aragorn’s or Gimli’s, but just keep pecking away at the Cave
Troll, using fierce (T) attacks. You can do it!
Third Method:
When you fight the Cave Troll, use the L2 button to jump back. That is,
run into him, deal two fierce blows, then jump back. The fierce blows
will interrupt the troll's attack, and jumping back will make him just
narrowly miss (and often take out any enemies that were creeping up on
you). Repeat. He'll go down fast. I've yet to try and combo the guy.
(Special thanks to Michael Mittag for this method.)
Just continue using one of the above methods, ignoring the rest of the
orcs in the tomb. However, some orcs will drop life potions
periodically, so keep your eyes open for them. Try and pick up a life
potion before the Cave Troll’s life drops by 1/3 (trust me - you’ll
need it) because when that happens . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
The Cave Troll trades his club for a Chain Whip. Legolas will then
leap up on a ledge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part II - The Chain Whip
This section might get a bit tough with Legolas, but don’t get
discouraged. You have a very limited space to move here. But make the
most of it. There are two sections to this ledge: a left portion & a
right portion (great names, huh?). On each of these sections stand
three pillars which you will use for defense.
This is especially
crucial with Legolas as one whip from the chain will take a good 1/3
of your life meter. After he whips his chain, step out slightly from
behind the pillar and fire your arrows at him.
Note: Now, since Legolas is fast with arrows, you can probably shoot
off a good 3-4 arrows at once before having to take cover behind
the pillars again.
After firing your arrows, get behind the pillar again. But be warned:
the pillars will eventually break, leaving you open to attack. If this
happens, move to another pillar.
(Yay!)

--------
AS GIMLI
--------
Gimli is a tank - he can take the hits, so park yourself next to the
door and hack away, attempting combo attacks to build up your skill
meter, as this area is a fine place to gain lots of experience.
Many orcs will rush through the door, ready to attack. Now that you
purchased some combo attacks after the last mission, use them. An
effective combo attack is Balin’s Swift Terror (X X T). However, it
will take about three of these combo attacks in a row to fill your
skill meter. But keep trying. If you find you can’t pull off many
combos with Gimli, don’t worry. Instead, just use the good ‘ol fierce
(T) attack to despose of your orc infestation problem.

Soon, the floor will rumble, and a Cave Troll will lumber in. He
doesn’t look too happy. Now for the fun part . . .

*****************
BOSS - CAVE TROLL
*****************
Part I - The Club
Okay, the Cave Troll will come straight for you. I’ll give you a tip -
MOVE! You can’t parry his giant club that he is so fond of swinging.
So, you can use one of three methods to beat him:
First Method:
Use the rest of the members of The Fellowship to your advantage. Let
them handle things for a while. Run away from the Cave Troll
momentarily, letting him attack someone else. (There is no one else
to protect here - just yourself.) When the Cave Troll swings his
club, there will be a moment when hi pauses to pick up his weapon
again. In this moment, run in behind the Cave Troll and slap him
with a fierce (T) attack. Be careful not to get in front of him.
Gimli won’t be damaged too badly, but still, that club can really
smart!
Second Method:
Attack him head-on (if you’re brave and can time it right). After he
swings his club, dash up and hit him with ONE fierce (T) attack. Then
run away quickly because he will swing his club at you. Be careful to
only tap the (T) button ONCE when attack him this way because if you
tap it two or more times, you will perform two quick swings that leave
you vulnerable to a blow from his club - and you WILL get smashed
Since Gimli is all about muscle, this part will pass pretty quickly
(5-6 hits).
Just continue using one of the above methods, ignoring the rest of
the orcs in the tomb. However, some orcs will drop life potions
periodically, so keep your eyes open for them. Try and pick up a
life potion before the Cave Troll’s life drops by 1/3 (trust me -
you’ll need it) because when that happens . . .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
The Cave Troll trades his club for a Chain Whip. Gimli will then leap

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Part II - The Chain Whip
Okay, get ready because this part of the fight is LONG with Gimli.
Just think of it as an exercise in patience . . .
After he whips
his chain, step out slightly from behind the pillar and throw your
axes at him.
Note: Since Gimli is slow at hurling axes, expect to only be able to
throw one at a time. If you’re lucky, you can launch two
without getting smacked by the chain, but if you try this,
chances are you’ll eat some chain.
After throwing your axe, get behind the pillar again. But be warned:
the pillars will eventually break, leaving you open to attack. If
this happens, move to another pillar. If you find yourself in the
unfortunate situation where ALL of the pillars are broken, run around
and wait for the Cave Troll to whip his chain (away from you!). In
the brief moment that he retracts his weapon, throw an axe (again
probably no more than one at a time - two if you’re brave) at him.
Repeat this process.
Now, from time to time, a pesky orc will make it his goal in life to
annoy you by jumping up on the ledge and attacking you. Get rid of
him with fierce (T) attacks. Sometimes, the orc will drop “full life”
potions.
So, if you find yourself running low on throwing axes, don’t worry,
just run to the end of the right portion of the ledge. There you will
find a pack of hurling axes happily waiting there for you. Pick them
up and fire away. Oh, and the pack will periodically reappear.
Another Strategy:
If you stand near a pillar, the chain won't hit you. So you can keep
standing beside a pillar and throw axes at the troll while he keeps
bashing his chain. If you do this, the troll drops around the same
time that you run out of pillars. (Special thanks to Michael Mittag
for this strategy.)

CUTSCENE:
A summary of some events from the film The Fellowship Of The Rings
plays. Aragorn explains that Moria was a dark journey for all of them.
Gandalf falls into darkness in Moria. There is a brief (and I mean
BRIEF) section showing Lady Galadriel from Lothlórien. Then, it cuts
to Amon Deep where the Uruk-Hai attack, and Frodo runs off into the
bushes. Aragorn says that Frodo carries the fate of them all, and that
you must defend him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, this mission is LONG. You have two things to keep track of here:
Frodo's Life Meter (top right-hand corner of screen)
Defeating 75 Uruk-Hai (an Uruk-Hai meter is next to Frodo's)
If Frodo's life meter depletes, you will fail the mission, so you must
move quickly through this mission, taking out any and all Uruk-Hai
along the way.
----------
AS ARAGORN
----------
Part I - Hilltop
Right away, about 16 Uruk-Hai will bombard you. Thank goodness Legolas
and Gimli are there to help out. Use combo attacks and take out the
charging Uruk-Hai. The Uruk-Hai meter should read about 59 when you
defeat all the enemies in this section.
Note: Don't constantly worry about what number the Uruk-Hai meter
says. Just use it as a guide for how close you are to
completing the level. (The closer it gets to "0", the closer
you are to the end of the mission.)
Don't forget to run up the stone steps and grab the experience block
in the treasure chest.
Okay, running forward and on to the next area, you will be greeted by
two Uruk-Hai and one archer. Dispose of the attacking Uruk-Hai first
and the archer last.
Note: You will see Uruk-Hai running through the trees from time to
time. Unless they jump out of trees or fire arrows at you,
you cannot hit them, and they can't hit you. So don't worry
about them.
With Aragorn, archers will die with 5-6 arrows. Be careful, though,
because the archers' arrows will sometimes cause fires. Obviously,
avoid the fires at all costs or they will gladly suck all your life
away very efficiently.
With all the Uruk-Hai here defeated, move to the right to see a . . .

CUTSCENE:
Lurtz (the Big Baddie) will bark orders to "Find the Halfling!" (He
means Frodo.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART II - Arches & Archers
In this new section, Gimli and Legolas have conveniently left you to
battle alone (hmmmmm . . .). But you will hear Legolas say: "We must
defeat these Uruk-Hai in order for Frodo to escape!"
Right away, one Uruk-Hai will come down from the left to play. Tell
him to go away. Take out the 3 archers perched around the stone
arches in the distance with you arrows.
As you're disposing of the archers, 2 more Uruk-Hai will leap out and
run at you. Make them eat steel. If there are any archers left after
this, shoot them with arrows because once you get closer to the stone
arches, one more Uruk-Hai will leap out from the right and start
whacking away at you.
Note: There is a treasure chest full of arrows on the left side of the
path by the tree. Pick them up if you need them.
Now, run down through the arches. The camera will shift. Turn left
and run up to the top of the arches to pick up an experience block in
another treasure chest.
Some Uruk-Hai will run up on the arches and attack you. Use arrows to
fend them off before they get to you or just take them out with combo
attacks (I recommend combo attacks). Make your way back down the stone
arches to the forest floor and run to your right, down the path to find
3 Uruk-Hai slashing at you.
Move on down the forest path. The camera will shift again and you will
be staring at 3 archers. But, there is a little rock wall - it's your
friend here. Use it for cover as they fire at you. Wait until the
archers fire their arrows, then step out from behind the wall, shooting
arrows back. Focus on defeating one archer at a time as this will make
it easier. Be sure to get behind the wall periodically - unless you
want to get pelted by raining arrows. On the other side of the wall is
a treasure chest full of arrows. Restock. Move on.
In the next open area, about 3 Uruk-Hai will run out of the trees, but
be careful here because more enemies will soon filter out of the forest,
giving you about 9 Uruk-Hai in all to deal with. Oh, and don't forget
the annoying archer up on the rock hitting you with arrows. Take him
out with your own arrows.
Move on to see . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
More Uruk-Hai running through the forest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the action. Three archers will be perched in the forest.
Quickly get behind another conveniently placed rock wall, and use it as
a shield. This can get pretty annoying because the archers shoot their
arrows, surrounding you with a circle of flames. Stay away from the
fire. When you can, shoot the archers and just wait for the fire to
fizzle out. When it is safe, move on to your right.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Frodo will be hiding behind a tree, while Uruk-Hai warriors run past,
with absolutely NO clue he is there.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART III - Courtyard Ruins
Looking ahead, you will see a sort of courtyard, and one archer ready
to attack. If you have enough arrows left, use them to defeat him from
a great distance. Run down to where he was (before he bit it). The
camera will shift, and you will be in the courtyard ruins. About 3
Uruk-Hai will run up some stairs and attack you. Dispose of them.
Note: Before running down the stairs, look at the wall. There is a
sort of doorway with some vines covering it. Run over to it
and break the vines with about 2-3 fierce (T) attacks. Run
inside to find a teasure chest with an experience block.
(Thanks to Will Steal and Jakob Parsons for this one.)
Dash down the steps to the lower portion of the courtyard. You will be
greeted by more angry Uruk-Hai and 2 archers (you must use your arrows
to defeat these archers).
Move on to the left and down some more steps. You will hear Legolas
shout "Aragorn!" And Gimli and Legolas will rejoin you. Take care of
any remaining Uruk-Hai and run toward the bridge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli will dash onto the bridge and fight some
Uruk-Hai.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART IV - The Bridge
Beat up as many Uruk-Hai as fast as you can here. Your Uruk-Hai Meter
should be getting really close to zero by now. Check and make sure
that Frodo still has some life 'cause you don't want him to die. Combo
attacks are your friend here, and so is a full skill meter. To beat
this section, defeat enough Uruk-Hai to bring your count down to "0".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
A few Uruk-Hai will chase after Frodo, but luckily Legolas launches
arrows at them, allowing the Hobbit a free route of escape.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, you just have to defeat any Uruk-Hai that come at you. Boromir's
(one of The Fellowship) life meter will appear in the upper right-hand
corner of the screen. Just survive until Boromir's life is depleted.

Part I - Bows & Arrows
Lurtz will fire flaming arrows at you. Dodge them and fire some arrows
back at him. He will fire 3 three arrows successively and then pause.
Use this time to pelt him with your arrows. You can probably get off
about 2-3 shots at once.
Periodically, throughout the battle an annoying Uruk-Hai will attack
you as well. Be ready for that. But, the plus side here is that
sometimes he will drop "full life" potions. That is good.
After Lurtz takes about 5-6 arrows . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Lurtz will trade his bow for a sword.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART II - Swords & Statues
The camera will shift to a strange angle, giving you a limited view of
the arena. Be careful because Lurtz is FAST! He will dash over to
you (he likes to sneak up from behind) and efficiently make ground
round out of you if you're not careful.
So, there are six states around the perimeter of the arena. Run over
to one and try to get Lurtz to attack you. Lurtz's sword will then
get lodged in the statue. While he is trying to pull it out, take
this opportunity to slap him with 3-4 fierce (T) attacks.
Be warned, though . . . the statue will soon break, and Lurtz will
continue his pursuit of you. When that happens, just run to another
statue and repeat the process.
Note: If another annoying Uruk-Hai decides to join in the fun, just
hit him with fierce (T) attacks. The best time to do this is
when Lurtz gets his sword stuck in one of the statues.

you cannot hit them, and they can't hit you. So don't worry
about them.
With Gimli, archers will die with about 4 throwing axes. Be careful,
though, because the archers' arrows will sometimes cause fires.
Obviously, avoid the fires at all costs or they will gladly suck all
your life away very efficiently.
Note: Gimli is slow with throwing axes (duh), so don't bother using
them unless that is the only way you can defeat an enemy.
(Besides, Gimli likes swinging his BIG axe better anyway!)
With all the Uruk-Hai here defeated, move to the right to see a . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Lurtz (the Big Baddie) will bark orders to "Find the Halfling!" (He
means Frodo.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART II - Arches & Archers
In this new section, Legolas and Aragorn have conveniently left you to
battle alone (hmmmmm . . .). But you will hear Legolas say: "We must
defeat these Uruk-Hai in order for Frodo to escape!"
Right away, one Uruk-Hai will come down from the left to play. Tell
him to go away. Take out the attacking Uruk-Hai first. Leave the
archers on the arches for later.
Two more Uruk-Hai will leap out and run at you. Just defeat all the
Uruk-Hai with Fierce (T) or combo attacks.
As you get closer to the stone arches, one more Uruk-Hai will leap out
from the right and start whacking away at you.
Note: There is a treasure chest full of throwing axes on the left side
of the path by the tree. Pick them up if you really want them.
Now, run down through the arches, taking out the archer with steel.
The camera will shift. Turn left and run up to the top of the arches
to pick up an experience block in another treasure chest, taking care
of any remaining archers on your way.
Some Uruk-Hai will run up on the arches and attack you. Just slap
'em with your BIG axe. Make your way back down the stone arches to
the forest floor and run to your right, down the path to find 3
Uruk-Hai slashing at you.
Move on down the forest path. The camera will shift again and you
will be staring at 3 archers. Use your throwing axes to defeat the
archer located in the trees, using the stone wall that's there for
protection from the other two archers. After that, just charge the
remaining archers and take them down with fierce (T) attacks.
Note: On the other side of the wall is a treasure chest full of
throwing axes if you really want them.
In the next open area, about 3 Uruk-Hai will run out of the trees, but
be careful here because more enemies will soon filter out of the
forest, giving you about 9 Uruk-Hai in all to deal with. Oh, and don't
forget the annoying archer up on the rock hitting you with arrows.
Gimli can take some pain, so run in there, slashing away. When you're
done, hit the archer on the rock with a few throwing axes (you have
to . . .).
Move on to see . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
More Uruk-Hai running through the forest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Back to the action. Three archers will be perched in the forest.
Quickly get behind another conveniently placed rock wall, and use it
as a shield. This can get pretty annoying because the archers shoot
their arrows, surrounding you with a circle of flames. Stay away from
the fire. When you can, launch some throwing axes at the archers and
just wait for the fire to fizzle out. When it is safe, move on to your
right.
Note: If you find this part a bit too annoying, once the fires dies
down, you can just move on ahead and forget about the archers.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Frodo will be hiding behind a tree, while Uruk-Hai warriors run past,
with absolutely NO clue he is there.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART III - Courtyard Ruins
Looking ahead, you will see a sort of courtyard, and one archer ready
to attack. Run down to where he is. The camera will shift, and you
will be in the courtyard ruins. About 3 more Uruk-Hai will run up
some stairs and attack you. Take care of them.
You will
be greeted by more angry Uruk-Hai and 2 archers (you MUST use your
throwing axes to defeat these archers).
Move on to the left and down some more steps. You will hear Aragorn
shout, "Hurry, Gimli!" And he and Legolas will rejoin you. Take care
of any remaining Uruk-Hai and run toward the bridge.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli will dash onto the bridge and fight some
Uruk-Hai.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART IV - The Bridge
Beat up as many Uruk-Hai as fast as you can here. Your Uruk-Hai Meter
should be getting really close to zero by now. Check and make sure
that Frodo still has some life 'cause you don't want him to die. Combo
attacks are your friend here, and so is a full skill meter. To beat
this section, defeat enough Uruk-Hai to bring your count down to "0".
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
A few Uruk-Hai will chase after Frodo, but luckily Legolas launches
arrows at them, allowing the Hobbit a free route of escape.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, you just have to defeat any Uruk-Hai that come at you. Boromir's
(one of The Fellowship) life meter will appear in the upper right-hand
corner of the screen. Just survive until Boromir's life is depleted.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Sadly, Boromir dies. That nasty Lurtz did it! Go get him!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
************
BOSS - LURTZ
************
Note: If you die here, just continue, and you will automatically
restart from this point.
Part I - Bows & Arrows
Lurtz will fire flaming arrows at you. Dodge them. He will fire 3
three arrows successively and then pause. Use this time to hurl some
axes at him. But this can be a bit tough with Gimli as you'll probably
only be able to throw one (MAYBE two) when Lurtz pauses. But keep at
it!
Periodically, throughout the battle an annoying Uruk-Hai will attack
you as well. Be ready for that. But, the plus side here is that
sometimes he will drop "full life" potions. That is good.
After Lurtz takes about 5 throwing axes . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Lurtz will trade his bow for a sword.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
PART II - Swords & Statues
The camera will shift to a strange angle, giving you a limited view of
the arena. Be careful because Lurtz is FAST! He will dash over to
you (he likes to sneak up from behind) and efficiently make ground
round out of you if you're not careful.
So, there are six states around the perimeter of the arena. Run over
to one and try to get Lurtz to attack you. Lurtz's sword will then
get lodged in the statue. While he is trying to pull it out, take
this opportunity to slap him with about 2 fierce (T) attacks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Aragorn will let Boromir rest in peace.

Goblin Bane (S X R2)

CUTSCENE:
Merri & Pippin are taken away by the fleeing Uruk-Hai. Legolas,
Aragorn, and Gimli search for days, following their trail. Soon, they
come to Fangorn Forest and decide to split up to search for Uruk-Hai
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

AS ARAGORN
----------
Run on ahead. Destroy the log in your path with some fierce (T)
attacks. Move on until you come to a giant tree trunk blocking your
way. Three shielded orcs will burst out of the log, and four more
orcs will attack you from behind. Remember, use fierce (T) attacks
to break their shields.
Once you take care of all problems here, run into the giant log. The
camera will shift to inside the hollow trunk. Run about halfway down
the trunk, and the ceiling will collapse, giving you an Uruk-Hai to
deal with. Now, this Uruk-Hai has a very LONG sword that WILL hit you.
And it is very hard to parry his attacks, so this can make him pretty
annoying. DO NOT fight him head-on. (Oh, and arrows are useless
here.) Instead, run back out the way you came - up and out of the log
into the big open area of the forest. The sword-weilding Uruk-Hai will
follow. Dodge his attackss and wait for him to swing his sword around
his head TWICE. He will lose his balance and pause (you should hear a
"clank" noise). Use this opportunity to QUICKLY run up behind him and
hit him with 1-2 fierce (T) attacks to knock him over. Once he is on
the ground, press the (R2) button to thrust your sword down and finish
him off.
Note: The sword-weilding Uruk-Hai can turn around very fast. So, be
sure to get up behind him quickly when he is vulnerable.
When you are finished here, run back into the giant tree trunk and out
the other end. Break the small log in your path. Move on.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Oh no, looks like you've got bigger problems than the sword-wielding
Uruk-Hai because two orcs coming slamming through the trees and fly
SMACK into the giant log. I wonder what awful, horrible thing can
toss orcs like rag dolls?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Run around the corner and into the open area to find a Cave Troll
emerging from the trees. (Remember this guy from Balin's Tomb?) Don't
worry, he's not as hard as he looks. Just wait for him to swing his
club, then run in and hit him with ONE fierce (T) attack. Be sure to
run away quickly (or press the [L2] button to jump back) because he
will take a swing at you. If you get too far away from him, he will
throw logs at you - watch out!
Just repeat this process until he falls over. With Aragorn, he will
go down in about 9 hits. He drops a "full life" potion, so pick it
up.
Break the fence and run ahead to see . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
An bunch of orcs are playing around a giant hole in a camp. They are
too busy knocking each other in to notice you behind them.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sneak up on them and pull off a combo attack. When they finally notice
you, use fierce (T) attacks to break their shields.
Note: A happy treasure chest with a "full life" potion waits for you
near the back of the camp.
Run on to the river in the distance.
Here, the camera will shift, and some orcs will be waiting for you
downstream: 2 archers & 1 shielded orc. Take care of them and move
upstream.
The view will shift again. Just wade upstream until two orcs leap out
of the water wo attack. Knock them over and use (R2) to thrust your
weapon into the stream to finish them off.
Note: A good combo attack to use here is Goblin Bane (S X R2), as it
will defeat them in one movement.
Four more orcs will attack and one shielded orc as well. Beat them
silly.
When you're finished here, move on upstream and into the waterfall.
You'll enter a cave.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Another Cave Troll will come for you.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Defeat this guy the same way you did the other. But, be careful - this
is a tight space in here. Again, the Cave Troll will drop a "full
life" potion.
Note: Be sure to get the experience block in the chest to the left.
Now, run toward the screen until you come to a wooden fence. Break it
and run down to some vines blocking the exit. Shatter them with a
couple fierce (T) attacks.
As soon as you do, a sword-wielding Uruk-Hai will come straight for
you. Be careful, because this is still a tight space. Again, get
behind him when he gets off balance. Knock him down and finish him
off when he is down.
Move ahead on the path to be greeted by two orcs and an archer. But
that's not all: a shielded orrc will also try to stab you in the butt.
First, take down the attacking orcs. Next, use your arrows to defeat
the archer. Break the log in your path and run ahead.
In a bit, a horde of orcs will attack (too many to count). Combos are
your best friend here. Once that is over, break the log in your way
and move onward.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Two cave trolls come out and lay waste to some poor little orcs. Guess
what . . .
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
**************************
BOSS(ES) - TWO CAVE TROLLS
**************************
As if 1 wasn't enough . . . Now, you can choose one of two paths to get
to your foes:
Left - Break 3 logs
Right - Break some vines
I say go right and break the vines. Run through the tunnel past a chest
with a "full life" potion and turn around to face both Cave Trolls.
You'll have lots of space to work with here. These guys aren't any
different from the other Cave Trolls you've faced in the mission.
There's just two of them now.
The key here is to focus on one at a time, running up to use one fierce
(T) attack between club swings. Once you finish off one, move on to
the last Cave Troll, using the same process.
Now that they're no longer a problem, move over to the vines ahead -
but not before picking up the experience block in the treasure chest.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUTSCENE:
Legolas, Aragorn, & Gimli meet up again, and find Gandalf The White.
Gandalf explains that there is now a union between the Two Towers and
that war is coming to Rohan.
