My name is Mike McDevitt, and my favorite thing to do is play video games. I
don’t like to do anything besides play video games....wow, I’m not too complex
of a person, am I?

1.c. About the FAQ

This FAQ is designed to help you with all of the weapons, items, and enemies in
the game. This is also my first FAQ, so don’t pass judgment onto me if it
sucks. I have feelings too! :’(

_______________________________________________________________________________
3. Weapons

This section is dedicated to the many painful ways you can torture all the
mils. I mean blast them apart. And torture them.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a. Primary Weapons

All the weapons that go into your right hand. Format will be as follows:

Description: basic description of what the weapon looks like
Firing rate: how fast shoots
Ammo: ammo per clip/max ammo
Range: what kind of range you should use the weapon at
Upgrade levels: what each upgrade level does to the weapon
Other notes: anything else not covered
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.a. Mining Laser

Description: small oddly shaped box with a colored, circular end.
Firing rate: fast
Ammo: infinite/infinite
Range: far
Upgrade levels:
level 2, allows you to charge the laser by holding down the R button not quite
all the way, release to fire
level 3, adds a second barrel, doubling firing speed
Other notes: being the game’s infinite ammo weapon, it is not that powerful,
but is still useful against a small group of grunts. Please note that by
infinite ammo I mean that it needs to charge after you shoot for too long.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.b. Ripper

Description: blue box with 4 long silver shafts coming out in one direction.
Firing rate: medium
Ammo: 4/24
Range: far
Upgrade levels:
level 2, adds fully automatic fire, tears through mil limbs easier, 4/32 ammo
level 3, when the blade hits a mil, it continues to damage the limbs for a
while, 4/40 ammo
Other notes: used to cut red wires. One of the weakest weapons, but cuts mils
apart.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.c. SPEW

Description: long blue box with nozzle on end.
Firing rate: extremely fast
Ammo: 60/300
Range: close-medium
Upgrade levels:
level 2, increases accuracy and damage, 70/400 ammo
level 3, increases accuracy and damage further, 100/500 ammo
Other notes: the SPEW is basically the machine gun of this game, and ammo is
very plentiful.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.d. Rivet Gun

Description: ugh, too weird looking to describe. I can tell you that it is
green.
Firing rate: semi-automatic (shoots as fast as you press the R button)
Ammo: 5/25
Range: very far
Upgrade levels:
level 2, the arrows it shoots will explode after a short while, 5/35 ammo
level 3, when you shoot, you can hold down the R button to charge up the arrow,
and let go to explode it. Full charge is when the arrow is flaming red, 5/50
ammo.
Other notes: the Rivet Gun is the best sniping weapon in the game. Period.
Also, every Rivet Gun ammo pickup is worth 50 arrows, so don’t be too reluctant
to use it.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.e. Rocket Launcher

Description: blue box (lots of them, huh?) with long silver shaft on the front
end
Firing rate: slow
Ammo: 3/30
Range: medium-far
Upgrade levels:
level 2, allows for one-handed use, also does more damage, 4/50 ammo
level 3, (called Barrage Cannon), when a rocket is shot, it splits into four
homing rockets, dealing a ton of damage, 4/75 ammo. The homing rockets work
like this: you fire a rocket, and after about a second, it splits into four.
Three rockets will swerve around a bunch, and one goes straight, a little
faster than the other three. When the one rocket hits a target, the other three
stop swerving and fly straight for what the first one hit. This is most
effective at long range.
Other notes: Reload time for level one Rocket Launcher is very slow, and since
it is two handed, you can only fire if you are standing or running on the
ground.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.f. Scatter Blaster

Description: the only yellow weapon in the game.
Firing rate: slow
Ammo: 8/32
Range: close
Upgrade levels:
level 2, double-barreled, hitting 2x at once, 12/48 ammo
level 3, fully automatic, dishing out a lot of pain very fast, 16/64 ammo.
Other notes: besides from being one of the most powerful weapons, ammo for it
is rare, so don’t blast everything in sight with it.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.g. Slingshot

Description: a slingshot. If you don’t know what a slingshot is, you need to
get out more...or watch more TV.
Firing rate: slow-medium
Ammo: special
Range: far
Upgrade levels: none
Other notes: the slingshot is a special weapon, due to the fact that it fires
not its own ammo, but secondary weapons. All secondary weapons will explode on
contact with the first solid surface they hit. Also, the further you hold down
R, the further the secondary weapon will go. To make firing easier, just tap X
when you have a secondary weapon loaded, and it will most likely fire. If not,
just try again. Also, to help aim, use the top of Glitch’s antenna (the one on
his back.) When dealing with very long distances, aim it so the target is
under the tip of the antenna. (Big note, eh?)
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.h. Control Tether

Description: another weapon that is too weird to describe. I can tell you that
it is orange.
Firing rate: slowest in game.
Ammo: Infinite
Range: close
Upgrade levels:
level 2, reloads faster, locks on faster, transfers Glitch’s “brain” faster,
and makes mils armor tougher
level 3, same as level 2, but faster and tougher.
Other notes: the Control Tether is one of the strangest and coolest things
about this game. How it works: some enemies have “D-Ports”, which are little
pink circles, on their backs. With the Control Tether equipped, move the
targeting reticule over the D-Port. Eventually you will lock onto it, and when
the targeting reticule flashes green and red, fire. Fiber optics will fire out
of the tether, and attach to the enemy mil. You will then take control of the
mil. The higher level upgrade, the faster it will lock on, and the faster you
take control of it. Side note, you can use the Control Tether to make noises to
make mils turn towards the sound, and you can get a lock on very easily.
Another two-handed weapon. (Another big note, eh?)
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.a.i. Toaster

Description: yet ANOTHER blue box with red nozzle with small flame at the end
Firing rate: constant flow
Ammo: 100/400
Range: close
Upgrade levels: none
Other notes: one of the worse weapons, because ammo is scarce, and damage is
kinda low. 100 ammo burns (I made a funny) very quickly.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b. Secondary Weapons

All the weapons that go in your left hand. Format will be as follows:

Description: what the weapon looks like
Usage: how you use it
Max ammo: max you can hold
Other info: anything else not covered
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.a. Coring Charge

Description: tall yellowish tube with a red circle near the top
Usage: throw it like a grenade. It will explode after landing on the ground and
sitting still for about 2 seconds, or if it hits something that can be damaged
in any way.
Max ammo: 10
Other info: the Coring Charge is one of the most useful weapons at the
beginning of the game, since there is a lot of ammo for it. Also, it is the
highest splash damage weapon in the game, so be a good distance away when you
throw it.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.b. Cleaner

Description: sorta like an upside down mushroom
Usage: hold down the L button. It will say “select” in the bottom-left of the
screen. Move your targeting reticule over an enemy, and it will lock on. You
can target up to three enemies. Release the L button to throw the Cleaner. It
will fly into the middle of the group of enemies you targeted, and shoot a
total of three homing rockets at the enemies.
Max ammo: 2
Other info: when you fire the Cleaner at enemies, it will ALWAYS launch three
rockets, so if you target one enemy, it will get hit by three rockets.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.c. Scope

Description: long blue cylinder, with handle on side
Usage: used to see long distances better
Max ammo: doesn’t use ammo
Other info: the scope is a special secondary weapon. When you press L, it will
go first person view, at 2x magnification. Press L again, and you will go to 4x
magnification. Press L once more to leave magnified view. Can be upgraded! At
level 2, max magnification is 8x. When you are aiming at an enemy, it will show
their name, their height, their speed if they are moving, their health, if they
have an open D-Port, and how far they are from you. The Scope can only be used
with the following weapons: Ripper, SPEW, Rivet Gun, and the Rocket Launcher
(level 2 and up).
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.d. Magma Bomb

Description: circular-ish orange canister
Usage: throw it like a grenade. It will always explode the instant it hits a
solid surface. Anything that goes into the fire that it produces will catch
fire, and slowly take damage over a good bit of time.
Max ammo: 3
Other info: be careful when throwing this, because Glitch can catch on fire
just as easily as any enemy.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.e. EMP Grenade

Description: cube-like shape of blue and white color
Usage: throw it like a grenade. It will explode after landing on the ground and
sitting for still about 2 seconds. It will also explode if it hits an enemy.
What it does is make a large radius of electronic...stuff, and disables every
bot in that radius. The only exception to this is Glitch. What happens to him
is what I call getting “drunk”. What happens is the aim goes all loopy, and
makes Glitch aim weird for a few seconds.
Max ammo: 3
Other info: VERY useful against large groups of mils. Also, it is the Control
Tether’s best friend.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.f. Recruiter Grenade

Description: blue, triangular shape with Morbot markings on it
Usage: throw it like a grenade. It will explode after landing on the ground and
sitting still for about 2 seconds. It will also explode if it hits an enemy.
What it does is makes a small orb of electricity. Mils that have a recruiter
symbol above their head that get close will be zapped, and be on your team
permanently until destroyed.
Max ammo: 2
Other info: although you could get about 10 mils with 1 grenade, it only zaps
mils one at a time, so the first few mils will start attacking the ones that
weren’t recruited yet.
_______________________________________________________________________________
3.b.g. Wrench

Description: a wrench
Usage: makes Glitch fall apart.
Max Ammo: uh...until it rusts?
Other Info: you will only get the Wrench if you actually need it. When you beat
the level you needed it on, you don’t have it anymore.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4. Pickups

Anything that you can just pick up off of the ground. Format is as follows:

Function: heals Glitch one full battery
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.b. Mega Energy

Description: looks like an atom, colored turquoise
Function: heals Glitch to full health
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.c. Fire Buddy

Description: helicopter blades on top, face on one side, hole on the other, and
encased in what looks like a d16 (16 sided die).
Function: fires almost whatever Glitch fires for a short time. Doesn’t fire the
following weapons: all secondary weapons, slingshot, and toaster.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.d. Ammo

Description: it will look like the weapon it gives ammo for
Function: provides ammo for your weapons
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.e. Invulnerability

Description: purple colored, pyramid shape with spikes on each side
Function: creates an impenetrable shield around Glitch for a short amount of
time

sides of it.
Function: activates switches and consoles. Can be found in enemies or boxes.
_______________________________________________________________________________

pointing down all over the sides of it.

consult another FAQ.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.h. Washers

Description: large, silver coin with a hole in the center of it (for those of
you who don’t know what washers look like)
Function: the currency of Iron Star. Enemies will drop them. To pick them up,
just walk near them and they will fly into Glitch (magnetism I think).
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.i. Gold Washers

Description: washers that are gold instead of silver
Function: gold washers are equivalent to 25 washers. Remember that you will NOT
magnetize gold washers, you have to walk over them.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.j. Batteries

Description: blue cylinder with see through blue stuff in the middle
Function: every battery you get increases your life bar. Glitch can hold up to
six batteries.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.k. Det-Packs

Description: looks like a bunch of Coring Charges wrapped together
Function: it some levels, there are places to put Det-Packs. They are orange
holograms of a Det-Pack on a wall. Press the Y Button near one of these, and
RUN. You have a few seconds to get away before it goes KABOOM!
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.l. Morbot Artifacts

Description: there are two Morbot artifacts that I have found. The first is a
lot of weird shapes that form a circle. The second one looks like a bunch of
rings jumping in and out of each other vertically.
Function: the first one increases your speed practically threefold. The second
one increases your jumping power about fivefold. The second one can only be
found in Level 40, and multiplayer as far as I know.
_______________________________________________________________________________
4.m. EUK (Equipment Upgrade Kits)

Description: a box with a bunch of parts coming out of it
Function: automatically upgrades your weapons. You can tell what weapon you
will upgrade by looking at the symbol above the EUK. For locations of all of
the EUK, consult another FAQ.
_______________________________________________________________________________
5. Enemies

All of the baddies that you can blast apart. Format will be as follows:

Health: how much punishment it takes to kill it
Movement: how it moves
Strengths: what makes it rock
Weaknesses: what makes it suck
D-Port: Yes/No (even bots with D-Ports won’t ALWAYS have them)

primary attack)
Effective Weapons: best weapons to make them a pile of scrap
Other Notes: anything else not covered

Health: high
Movement: fast
Strengths: intense speed, high attack power
Weaknesses: none
D-Port: no
Attacks: melee attack, freakin powerful
Effective Weapons: Scatter Blaster, Rocket Launcher, Rivet Gun, Cleaner, Coring
