Ok, I just found the book of good, and had no clue what to do with it, so I looked up a guide here on GameFAQs. It says to examine it, and then you can open it, but it doesn't give me any option to open it. I have tried clearing inventory space, and using the other character. What do I do?

statusRotate the book so that the opening is facing you then examine it

When you examine the book, turn it so the edge of the pages faces you (just as if you were going to actually read
it) and press A. The Book of Evil works the same way.
