Asked on: 8/10 10:30AMI just can't seem to get it down. I have verified that my version is the original American release. I get as far back and right as I can on the ship, lock onto the object with the scan visor in the distance, and proceed to use the dash jump but I can't make it onto the ledge. I can do the Dash Jump, it's just that the jump is too low and I hit the wall just below the ledge.
Can someone help me out?

Yes. Does it matter how far right I am?
M2K2 has a video for each version at the link below. If you've seen the vid and still can't do it it really comes down to the way you mash the buttons.

Try letting go of the control stick the moment after you mash B.
