The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

I am in a totally dark room with one half of some weird guy and I cannot get out! I repeat: There is nothing here but some weird guy and the four of Links and nothing else. This wouldn't bother me except for the fact that there is an invisible cliff that I can't see! Let me try to give a little more detail about the place. I am at the part after you fight all the guards after the iron knuckle and dark Link and do the spin thing with the "Box" formation. I just got done talking to the guy who came to check on the maidens and wants help finding his other half...can someone PLEASE give me info on how to get out of here?!?
