"Worth it for the multiplayer"

Single Player: 9/10
There are 2 single player components - Mission Mode (Much like Advance War's Campaign), and Battle Mode (Tournament based)

The storyline for mission mode is okay, but the missions themselves make up for it. You can pick 2 storylines to go by, each containing their own pros and cons. The difficulty of these missions is quite good; none being stupidly hard, with a solution, and none being easy enough that you'd be bored to death.

Battle Mode is where you'll be spending 80% of your time. In a nutshell, you and a player selected Computer fight through 12 battles against 2 computers, getting rewarded points on your performance. With points, you can buy better equipment, and upgrade to better Zoids.

Graphics: 8/10
The graphics are good enough to keep you interested, but they're nothing out of the ordinary. The animations are almost seamless, and the character make if feel as if this is playable anime.

Sound/Music: 5/10
This is where I got lost. The music is alright, nothing special. The Voice Acting on the other hand, is flat out horrid. Many of the voices are very bad compared to the original versions on the Television Series. After a set of earmuffs later, you'll be fine.

Gameplay: 10/10
The controls are good, and nothing is too hard to do. Mission Mode might cause some difficulties, but after some practice, you'll finish the missions with no problem. The AI in this game is fairly good, but it will seem dumbed down when it's allied with you.

Multiplayer 10/10
This is the fun part of the game. Although the number of battlefields is slightly lacking, the overall concept is great. Essentially, you can pick from a list of predetermined Zoids OR the ones from battle mode, allowing for almost infinite possibilities

Buy or Rent?
Rent, and play mission mode a little bit. IF you enjoy it, buy it.

Overall (8.4/10 rounded down)
Great game, with lots of variety. The only thing missing is flying Zoids, which are available in a currently Japanese only game.
