"Cars Versus Cars..."

Introduction-When I saw this game at the store, I decided to take a look at it. As soon as I read the back of the case, I wanted to get it. After playing this game at home for an amazing 7 hours straight, I thought it was a pretty decent game. Also, since this is one of the very first games I got, I decided to make a review for it. Here's a break-down of the game.

Game play-9/10

The game play for this game is very simple. There are 8 characters in destructive cars, which vary from a bull-dozer, to hover crafts, and even to black and white cars! These characters can play in 3 different types of games. In smack attack, the object of the game is to attack and crush your opponents. When hitting a character, you score points. Each player much reach the selected amount of points to win. The first player to reach that amount of points wins. In relay races, each karts races through two goals to get to the selected amount of rounds. The first player to reach that amount is declared the winner. In flag relays, each player gathers flags, which are running around the place like crazy. The first person to get to the amount of flags needed and get to the goal is the winner. The game play for this game is pretty easy to understand, but not easy to master each type.

Graphics-8/10

The graphics for this game are good. When you blow up, smash, or slice cars, the cars react how they should. The water moves under teh car when you drive through it, and the dynamite blows up cars in range when ignited. The bad part about the graphics, however, is that the characters are very small compared to their cars.

Sound-7/10

The music for this game is decent, but most of it doesn't go well with the stages. The music at the start screen is extremely annoying, and drives you nuts if you hear it too long. However, the sound effects you hear when you punch, explode, or slice your opponents is awesome. That is the only good part about this game's sound. Excluding the sound effects, the sound isn't very good, so I don't suggest you get sound-tracks of this game.

Control-6/10

The controls for this game are not very good. First of all, you don't use the control stick to move. Instead, you must use the control pad. The only way you can use the control stick is if you hold the R button. However, this just wastes 1 out of your 10 fingers. Also, using the control pad hurts your thumb after awhile, so there really is no good way to move. The A button is used to fire weapons, and teh B button is used to throw weak items. The control, overall, is terrible, and is the downside of this game.

Difficulty/Re Playability-7/10

The difficulty for Cel Damage is only good the first time. To unlock characters and levels, you must defeat certain stages, and accomplish certain tasks, which makes the game challenging. However, once completed, everything is able to be unlocked again without much problem. This is because the game is really short, and the level needed to unlock everything isn't very hard to beat at all. The game has a good difficulty level, but once the game is beaten, there isn't much left to do.

Overall-7/10

The makers of Cel Damage should have tried a little harder on this game. The game play and graphics for this game are the only good parts about this game. The difficulty is decent the first time, and the sound is only good in certain areas. The area they should have paid the most attention to was the control. I believe the game's controls are terrible, and should be revised before any sequels, if any, come out. The game has several flaws, but it is still a decent game, and deserves a decent rating.

Rent or Buy?

I encourage people who love cartoon battles to buy this game. It will be a great thriller to people of all ages. However, for people who do not like cartoons, like peace, and don't like video games, I suggest you rent this game first.
