"AND...the QB intercepts the ball?"

NFL STREET

NFL Street is a wonderful new addition to the street series. Smashing up other players with tons of trash talk could never be more fun.

GAME PLAY______9/10
This game is amazingly fun and probably my favorite sports game yet. You can style down the line “makin' it pretty” for the other players to see or massacre the defense without penalties. It's also cool how there's many different playing fields each one unique in its own way. In the game there are 3 modes quick game, pickup game, and NFL challenge. Quick game is just a quick game, choose a team choose who you face and where. Pickup is kind of like quick game except a little more original. During a pickup game you choose form a random assortment of players where you and opponent choose 7 to compose a team. Now, NFL challenge is a bit different. At the beginning of NFL challenge you make up 7 of your own players or choose 7 preset players for your team. Using that team you complete challenges to earn clothing, points to upgrade player, new plays, new gear, and real NFL players. Much like NBA Street you can use stlyin' moves like running while flexing your muscles, spinning around an opponent while putting the ball through your legs, or even throwing a pass without looking. While doing these stunts you get points for your style meter and, also much like NBA Street, they build up for a Game Breaker, a sweet power move that totally clobbers the opposition. Now who wouldn't like that?

GRAPHICS________7/10
The graphics in this are very good and realistic making the players look much like there real NFL counterpart. The clothing is affected by movement, it's really nothing special. There's basically no glitches in the graphics except sometimes portions of a players body can come through another's, but that's generally no problem.

SOUND___________8/10
I'm not much of a fan of the rap and punk rock style of music used in the game, but the songs fit the game very well. Even if you don't like a song you're given the option to choose which songs it will and will not play, like a lot of games. First when I played the game I more or less disliked the music, but it quickly grew on me. Hopefully same said for you.

CONTROLS_______9/10
I doubt the controls could be any better than they are now. When playing the buttons to press almost seem natural after playing only a few times. One main thing I found problems with is I frequently misplace really easy tackles.

DIFFICULTY______7/10 (10 being hardest)
Generally the game is pretty easy unless you put it on extra hard modes just for the purpose of annoying yourself. If you get far in the game opposing player start to get annoyingly good and do things seemingly impossible. The computer players are just way to good at intercepting the ball making passing way to difficult, and even when you think the pass is perfect some guy just jumps out of no-where 10 feet into the air, but that doesn't happen to often.

OVERALL________8/10
This game is a great game to add to your collection, and has a great replay value to. For some reason you can always come back to this game.
