Review by Admiral_Zero

"A game that brings out your inner ninja."

INTRODUCTION
Naruto Clash of Ninja 2 started off in Japan, and in order to play it, it had to he imported. Now, we American players get a chance to experience the game. If you have played Clash of Ninja 1, you will notice that this game is 10 times better. So on with the review.

GRAPHICS 10/10
I like the graphics, they are cell shaded and look very nice. The characters look great, and the backgrounds look nice as well.

GAMEPLAY 10/10
First off: this game is 4 player compatible, which makes is better than the first game. Like any other fighting game, the goal is simple: take your opponents life down to zero, which, of course, you do by beating them up. You have ninjitsu, genjitsu, and taijitsu attacks, as well as throwing and special attacks. You also have counter attacks, and projectiles such as kunais and shurikens. Under the single player category are: arcade mode, time attack, survival, Oboro (shadow clone fighting), vs CPU, and team battle (3v3). Under the multiplayer category, there is 1v1(human vs human), 4 players (1v1v1v1, 2v2. 3v1), and team battle (3v3, both players human). There is also training mode, which the name says it all. Story mode takes 20 fights, with 10 extra when you buy them. You can also buy new characters, new options, and ninja profiles. The characters are also very likeable, and their fighting styles are different.

SOUND 9/10
The sound is pretty good, the characters voices are pretty good as well. I especially like the sound when Kakashi does his down-A. A point was deducted for Naruto always saying "believe it!"

STORY 9/10
It's a fighting game, so who cares about the story? That's what a lot of people think, but the game's story is actually pretty good. It has the same structure as the show, but you will be winning fights where in the anime that character loses.

CONTROLS 10/10
You should get the hand of the controls within the first 30 seconds of playing the game, they are that simple.

FINAL VERDICT: 48/50=96% rounded up =10/10

RENT OR BUY?
This game is only 40 dollars. If you are a fan of fighting games (like me) then buy it. If you are the fan of the anime, then buy it. If you like playing video games with 3 other friends, and want to hear them scream out random junk when you beat them, then buy it. You can always rent the game, and if you like it, then you can buy it. I hope this review was helpful, and have a nice day.
