"Lego Star Wars II R-O-C-K-S!"

I'll have to admit, this game was far greater than the first game. Sure, the first game was good, but I can't believe how good this game turned out. When it came out for the Game-Cube, I was highly anticipating on getting the game for my birthday. When I did, I expected it to be as good as the first one. However, it wasn't as good as the first one. It was better! That's right, Lego Star Wars II was better than the first one, and in all categories, too!

Story-10/10

The story of this game follows directly with the movies. No mistakes, no out-of-order crud, and absolutely no deleted scenes! This game's story is phenomenal, and better than the first game. The first game had a few mess-ups here and there, but this game has NO flaws in the story at all.

Game-play-10/10

The game-play is just as the story and the movie follow. Bust into the place, toss around a few villains here and there, defeat the boss (if necessary), and enjoy the cut-scenes. There is exactly no flaws in the game-play as well, as it also follows the movie's action. No fighting is mis-placed, and there are tons of different stages to play.

Graphics-10/10

Unlike the Bionicle games (which are still good, by the way), the people in this game actually LOOK LIKE LEGO! The background scenes look like Lego as well, and there are no graphics glitches what-so-ever. When you play as the character, you can actually see the bottom of their legs as holes, instead of patched-in, which is another great edition the creators added.

Sound-10/10

The sound in this game was far greater than the other game. The light-sabers still make their amazing sounds, and the jumping actually sounds like jumping. Unlike the other game's grappling sound, which sounded like a machine, the grappling sound in this game sounds like a grappling hook latching onto a wall or object! There were many improvements in the sound, and although the characters don't talk, this game had good sound nonetheless.

Difficulty-10/10

This game is way more challenging than the first game. The first game had easy-to-reach mini-kits, along with easy coins, and easy levels. This game is different. The stages are longer, and most of the mini-kits can't be gotten in the first run-around. Some mini-kits need a certain character to get to it, and certain coin amounts are in hard-to-reach places. You also get stumped in a few areas, and take about 5 minutes to find out what to do.

Re-playability-10/10

This game has a good replay value in it. The game will still have the mini-kits that need to be gotten in a second go-though, and the coins have to be gotten all over again. There were no mistakes, and the 99 Lego bricks will be tough to get again.

Overall-10/10

This game is a magnificent game, and much harder than the first game. There were no flaws in any area, and the time it will take to beat this game is good, and will last you at least 2 months to completely unlock everything in the game. This game was greater than I had expected, and I am fortunate to have gotten it.

Rent Or Buy?

I would say that you should definitely buy this game. There is no doubt about it. If you like difficult games that really make you think, this game is even better for you. Even if you don't like Lego, I would suggest at least renting it, because this game would be a be a game you will remember for days to come.
