"Cel Damage: The most underrated game to ever grace the face of Earth"
Cel Damage is, without the tiniest doubt, one of the most underrated games that a gamecube has ever seen. Filled with hilarious cut-scenes and an awesome multiplayer mode, Cel Damage easily makes my top ten best games of all.
Characters 10/10
The ten characters in Cel Damage each have a unique, different personality that stops you from ever getting bored of them and their hilarious taunts. First you have Sinder, a red little devil who has a tendency to accidentally make fun of himself. His "special weapon" looks something like a lawn mower that shreds the animated enemies into tiny, bite-sized bits. Next you have Dominique who wears more makeup than she'll ever need and drives a hot pink, slender car. Her feminine charm will constantly get under your skin when she displays it right after blowing you into smitherines. And then there's Flemming. He is a science geek who has created his own hovercraft. This scrappy, obnoxious little nerd zips around in that giant car pf his and kills you constantly. Despite the fact that he lacks confidence and often remarks about his loneliness, he is, on the battlefield, certainly one of the more aggresive enemies. The rest of the characters in this game will remain a mystery to you until you go get some common sense and BUY THE GAME!
Graphics 10/10
It is takes a very special game to make me notice its graphics. Cel Damage happens to be one of these special games. In Cel Damage, the graphics remind of a Bugs Bunny episode. They look exactly like cartoons and are animated perfectly. I love how perfectly the graphics fit with the rest of the game.
Storyline 10/10
The little storyline that is part of Cel Damage is very entertaining. Apparently, the entire game takes place in an alternate world where you can die as many times as you want, because you will always seem to come back to life. The game itself is a T.V. show where characters drive around and destroy each other. Each character has a short, thirty-second movie about him/her. Each and every one of these movies is guarenteed to at the very least give you a good chuckle.
Gameplay 10/10
The gameplay is what makes Cel Damage such an awesome game. There are at least fifteen different weapons you can equip to yourself and bash your enemies with. A freeze ray temporarily turns your enemies into blocks of ice that will shatter into a million pieces after being even slightly touched, while a shrink ray will turn the enemy into a microscopic version of itself, one that can be squashed by a car. Each character has a special weapon that only he/she can use. This weapon can vary from a flying dynamite stick that attaches itself to an enemy's car before exploding, to a heat-seeking missile that will chase your enemy until it destroys it. There are also twelve different stages, each one having its own, special features. There are three different modes you can play in Cel Damage. One being flag rally where you chase tiny flags with legs that adorably try to run away from you, another being gate rally where zip around as fast as you can while bashing your enemy with a baseball bat and doing whatever it takes to finish the race in first place, and the last being smash attack where you just drive around and accumulate points by hitting the enemies with all you got.
Replay 10/10
Cel Damage is a game that takes YEARS to get bored of. The twelve different arenas in it offer a seemingly infinite amount of fun, and that's not even mentioning the three different modes you can play in. There are also multiple weapons you can use to kill your adversaries with. Cel Damage is game you will find yourself playing for years.
