"This game is a nemesis to be reckoned with"

The Resident Evil series has done so much good for the gaming industry. First it helped Capcom become what it is today, next to Megaman of course, and it is Capcom's most successful and best series. Considering how many great games the minds' of Capcom have made achieving the title of best series is quite remarkable. This series even defined it's own genre.

Gameplay 10/10
This game's gameplay is exactly what survival horror games should be, and its even better than many other games. I know how people complain about rusty the controls are, but honestly I have played most of the series and even when I just started playing I experienced no problems with the controls. In fact they are extremely precise and accurate. The fun factor, while not neccessarily the most outstanding feature in RE3, is still high enough to score a 10. The difficulty level is even user friendly. Would you rather get weapons faster and progress through the game at a steady pace? Or would you rather experience the true meaning of survival, being forced to plan out your every move like when to use your ammo or to run around the zombie in preparation for bigger and badder enemies. One aspect of this game really makes you think is the new Nemesis character who is more powerful than you in every aspect and can follow you from area to area. Nemesis as the title suggests is the main enemy of the game, but he can show up at anytime to rip you apart.

Story 10/10
The story itself is good but the way it is told an how events unfold will keep you playing even if for some strange reason you don't particularly like the gameplay. I won't give any spoilers but many surprises spring up and the shear amount of details added to the story really get you involved. This is one of the most interesting storylines I have ever come across.

Graphics 10/10
Some complain about how the graphics don't stand up to other Gamecube Resident Evils and should have been a remake instead of a port. First of all this is a PORT meaning it was taken directly from another system, this system was the Playstation, think about it if it took 1.5 years to make the Resident Evil remake and they remade Resident Evils 2 and 3 Capcom would waste 3 years remaking games that had no need for a remake in the first place. Point being these are incredible graphics considering when they were made. In fact the cutscenes rival that of PS2 graphics.

Sound 9/10
The music in this game perfectly suits the scary atomsphere, giving you a feeling of utter hopelessness. Unfortunately this also a disadvantage as even I became tired of this music as I got sick and tired of feeling depressed every time I walked through the streets of Racoon City. I gave the music a 9 because while I didn't like the feeling the music gives me, I put my feelings aside to realize that the point of the music is to make you feel creeped out and depressed. I mean seriously the Apocalypse hit Racoon city how isn't that depressing. The SFX in this game are good considering the time it was made. The Zombie moans are creepy and so are their footsteps. Other nice little sound affects are added to keep the game ever scary.

Replayability 10/10
The game is fun. With that alone this game has high replay value, but also you get differant stuff every time you beat the game. The game is decently long so you won't be disappointed.

This game is a must have period.
