Rogue Ops
Review by MoeBear
"A Woman on a Stealth Mission"
INTRO
Has anybody ever heard of Splinter Cell? Well guess what this game tries to do, copy it. After all imitation is the best form of flattery they say. Splinter Cell has set the stage for this style of game playing. A lot of other companies try to copy it, but to a point. The question is did they pull if off? Or did it turn out to be like a cheap B movie? If you're a guy and like to look at animated women with stealth an action, then this game might just be for you after all. In short this game is a Splinter Cell clone, and instead of a man, you have a woman.
GAME PLAY
This is the most the most import part of any video game, no matter if it is a clone or whatever. You know what you do threw out this whole game, use stealth, and kill people with it. This is your main game playing from A to Z. The stealth kills do get kind of confusing and annoying after awhile. It's like you got to do crazy sequences to execute a good kill, why? This part makes no sense. This is just boring mindless action. This game does have somewhat of a story line. It is not great, but average at best or you're typical stuff. Terrorists kill off this woman's family, and now she out for revenge and to save the world from this terrorist group. Sorry, but not real exciting, this kind of stuff has been done over so many times, you lost count by now.
APPEARANCE
You're probably asking can this get any worse? Well not in this department. I must admit this is a very strong point of this game. This alone might want to make you comeback and play more. The graphics and over all appearance of this title is excellent. I mean Game Cube is known for their cartoon-ish graphics, but their animated graphics for this game is something out of the ordinary. You play as Nikki Connor, she is you main character in this game. She is well detailed, outlined; great movement and appearance threw out this whole game. You can not complain about this. Everything in the background and other characters are just as good. Your music and sound effects are pretty much your standard in spy and stealth games, nothing to brag about, but nice enough to play along too.
OVERALL
I pretty much said what I wanted to say about this game. Rogue Ops is a decent title, but not for everyone. If you're a person that loves a heavy dose of stealth, and playing with a sexy female character assassin, then you will like this, otherwise you will hate it. I like the appearance but got bored and tired of the game playing. So I leave it up to you to decide if this game is for you or not.
