Naruto: Clash of Ninja

"Clash of the Ninjas"

Naruto is one of the most popular animes in Japan, and is now making a name for itself in America. Here is my review for Naruto: Clash of Ninja for the Gamecube.

Gameplay: 9/10
This games' gameplay is truly awesome. You can play as one of 8 different ninja of the most popular ninja as seen in the anime: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Rock Lee, Zabuza, Haku, and Iruka. There are also two secret characters: Nine Tailed Naruto and Sharingan Kakashi. When you are fighting, the attacks are very creative. Also, each character has two special attacks, as well as a secret technique that is well done, and looks very similar to the anime. The only problem that I have with this game is that it is so short. I mean, after just 2 or 3 hours of playing, you will have completed everything that there is to do. The story mode is also less than ten battles long... But it's the quality that counts, right?

Controls: 9/10
The controls on this game are very simple, and will have you pulling off amazing strings of combos in no time at all. You also don't need to worry about trying to pull off some of the more flashy techniques, because, for instance, the secret techniques can be executed by a simple tap of the X button.

Sound: 8/10
The sounds are good, but they never change and they get really repetitive. This is so especially because there are only 10 characters to play as, and they all only say a couple of things. Other than that, the music is good, but you never really notice it when in battle, so it doesn't seem too repetitive. Too bad theres no intense battle music, though...

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics on this game are great, with remarkable similarity to the anime. The graphics are very in-depth, like the trees in the background (Hinatas even there watching sometimes). But the background is always still.

Rent or Buy?
Definately buy. This game may only cost you $20.00.
