Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams
Review by solfire1
"Tak is back with some problems"
This game is the sequel to the first game, Tak and the Power of Juju. You don't have to play the first game to enjoy this one, but you probably don't know what juju is. It's just some type of magic. This game is about the Staff of Dreams (duh). I'm not going to give the plot away, but Tak encounters a dream juju and needs to help him do some things for the sake of dream world. He has to save the princess and when you do, you'll find the story far from over, but I can't spoil anything. I have not played the first game and I still enjoyed this game, so you most likely will too. ^^
Gameplay: 7/10
The story mode is very long, exiting and challenging. Tak has to go through the dream world and through the real world on and adventure with the help of some friends. And you learn juju spells along the way. Why I lowered it down to a 7/10 is because it can be incredibly frustrating and in some cases has glitches that can cause you to have to start the game all over. How do I know this? Cause it's happened to me before. But don't change your mind yet, those glitches are very rare. And the stages and fun make up for it. You just play how you would normally and probably nothing will go wrong. Trust me.
Graphics/Sound: 9/10
This graphics for this game is okay, but the cut scene graphics of this game are excellent. The music is great, but you probably won't notice it anyway. I actually kind of like the music.
Playtime/replayability: 8/10
This game will take some time to beat, and it has a two player multi player mode. This is not co-op mode; it's just a mini game mode. You probably won't feel like replaying this game over and over again, but it's good to replay once or twice.
Overall: 8/10
The glitch isn't that annoying, I didn't mind so much replaying the game. To prevent the glitch, just save your game in multiple files, so if it goes wrong in one file, switch to another one and do it right and don't forget to resave over the flawed file. I recommend this game because it's exiting and fun and you'll like it. You should decide on your own whether or not you want to rent. It depends on how, much you play and how long you rent. You're the judge.
