"Yay, now I can control someone!"

The Sims is a God type video game in which you can control people. Doesn't this sound fun already? I am sure it does. You can do multiple things with your people. Play basketball, cook dinner, watch a horror movie, or run on a treadmill at a really fast speed so you can watch the Sim fly off. Ha, I always loved doing that. Along with just making a Sim and playing as him/her, you can play get a life mode!

In Get a Life mode, you start out dreaming about being with this girl or guy, depending on your gender. Then your mom wakes you up. You are still living with your mom! From there, you start your life out. You go find a job and then go on out into your career. Meet different people, fall in love, have children, and then, retire! Basically, you go through the life of a guy or girl and try to live your life out. Throughout your career, you have goals to accomplish. Whether it be throw a rocking party or or successfully cooking a meal, you have to complete all of them to go to the next level. Each level is basically stages in your life. Living with your mom, getting your own house, getting a roommate, getting married, and retiring. I didn't go through all, but that really doesn't matter. In your life, you need jobs. There are many jobs in The Sims, all needing skills to get promoted. Getting promoted is also a goal in every level. You could need to be promoted twice or three times. Skills are also important to your Sim. You have mechanics, cooking, creativity, body, and more. Each of them need special things to raise them. Raising those stats can be a pain, since your Sim has needs. Needs are the same as your needs. You have hunger, energy, comfort, bladder and more. I the bar for those needs gets drastically low, you need to immediately raise them. You can eat, play basketball, use the bathroom and more to raise those needs. The Sims can get very mad and tired and irritated if you do not raise those needs. If low on energy, your Sim will not do anything that raises skill and instead will go to sleep. Which is called Free Will. Free Will is what makes the Sims do things on their own. That can really get annoying. If you want your Sims to raise body but instead would rather play video games on the computer. I wouldn't blame them, I would rather play video games than lift weights. This game also comes with a whole lot of items. Rather than just having a single bed and a king sized bed, this game comes packed with a whole bunch of beds and seats and computers and such. All of them have different stats. Some beds may be better and more comfortable, but they are a lot more expensive. Which is what makes this game more challenging. Things still cost money!

The Sims is a fun game and I would recommend buying this game. I mean come on, who wouldn't want to make a guy fly off a treadmill?
