"Acclaim goes 0-4 in today's game"

Presentation (4/10): The presentation (or lack there of) in this games just sucks. The option screens are bland and don't offer much. When you are playing a game, you don't feel like your actually playing baseball at time. Acclaim left out alot of the little things that make other baseball games great, such as in Triple Play you can trake your balls and strikes and where your pitches are hitting the strike zone. All and all the presentation of this game is very basic.

Gameplay (6/10): The control system in this game is a little fonky and takes a while to get used to. It is not exactly your pick up and play type baseball game, like EA's Triple Play series, you actually have to study the manual a great deal inorder to figure out how to do simple things such as stealing a base or picking off a runner. I am disappointed they didn't use the C-stick much (if at all), it would have worked great for advancing runners, stealing bases and picking off runners. I also warn you that this game is VERY VERY slow! Now granted baseball games are not ment to me action packed thrill rides, but generally you can finnish a game in 20 minutes and feel like you've played longer, this is not the case in All-Star 2002, i can barely finnish a game without falling asleep or thinking of hitting the power button atleast once!

Sound (4/10): The sound as in most baseball games just sucks! Developers need to take lessons for Sega Sports and not worry about getting the big name anouncers and just make some good announcing period. I am sick of games spitting out one linners about god nows what and not talking much the rest of the game!

Graphics (7/10): The player models in All-Star Baseball 2002 are aswome, but everything else graphics wise are pretty run of the mill. I am very disappointed in the staduim textures, and at times i feel like i am playing a Playstation verision of the game. Although the graphics don't hurt the gameplay it sure does hurt your eyes at times.

Overall (5/5): I wouldn't recommend this game to a casual gammer. It is for the diehard baseball fans who cannot wait till next year when they have a few titles to chose from. The game itself it average and offers so thrills if you can get past the crappy staduim designs and bad presentation. I strongly suggest renting it before you buy, you'll thank me later.
