"The best football game ever!"

Madden NFL 2002 for the Nintendo Gamecube blows all other football games away! It is everything that a football fan would ever want/need. The other games don't even come close. EA Sports did a fantastic job on this title.

Controls: 10/10

The controls for this game are so simple and easy to use. I like all the extra's that they put into this game such as the bullet pass by holding in the A button. I also like the fact that the control stick is very sensitive and you can make your guys walk into the end zone!

Gameplay: 10/10

The single most important thing for me when I buy a game is gameplay. I like all the different modes that the game has to offer such as Franchise Mode. I also enjoy all the extra things in the game such as the Madden cards. I just love all those challenges you have to complete in order to get the cards. When playing you can pick your own playbook from the coach of your choice. In game play just takes your breath away from the coin toss to your first touchdown and then some. You will be amazed at how well this game runs. The gameplay is so realistic you will actually feel like you are the quarterback in the pocket fixing to throw to your open receiver and the actual pressure of a defensive player coming after you. I also like how you can create players/teams in this game. I have my normal team and two of my wide receivers are named after my best friends. The gameplay in this edition of Madden just blows away the competition in every aspect.

Graphics: 10/10

The only thing I can say about the graphics of this game is that they are soothing to the eye. The players actually look like they are running and the coaches and refs all look very clean. The in game instant replay looks as real as it gets. You can even read the Wilson trademark on the side of the football! Overall the graphics flow much like a actual NFL game you would watch on TV.

Sound: 10/10

From the fans in the stadium to the quarterback calling plays at the line the sound is music to your ears. The first time I got hit by a defensive lineman I could just feel the hit! The music in the game is ok but repetitive. If you have any kind of sound system and are a football fan then this is the game for you.

Replayability: 10/10

The features in this game speak for them self. Since I have owned the game I have not been able to put it down! The different modes such as the Season where you play an entire season with the team of your choice(including the expansion team the Houston Texans) Madden cards are part of the game and to earn them you must do certain things within the game.(such as breaking a 20 yard run) Collecting those cards can be very addictive. Franchise Mode lets you manage the team and do everything from signing free agents to letting players retire. I also liked the signing part of the game cause the players actually make deals with there agents. Once you pick up the controller for this game you will not be able to put it down for hours!

Overall :10/10

What can I say? This game is superior to any football game out on the market today. No matter if you are a single player building a football empire in franchise mode or running the two minute drill or trying to collect all the Madden cards this game is worth every dime of the $50 bucks you pay for it.
