NBA Courtside 2002

"You can't call yourself a basketball fan without this game"

This game is just one of the BEST sports games out there. It just never gets boring. As soon as I rented this game I realized it was better than any sports game I played before. And now I can't stop playing. IF it wasn't for the fact that I am writing this review I would be playing right now.

GRAPHICS 10/10
When people see me play, at first they think it's a real game. Then they see things that reveal it's not, the circles under the players, for example. But the instant replay looks VERY realistic. You can easily tell exactly what happened. The player's faces look excellent too. The problem is that thy have the same expression throughout the whole game. Boring there but besides that perfect. Excellent Graphics.

CONTROLS 10/10
Spinning, juking, passing, you name it, is easier. Especially the c-stick passing. It is too easy. There is no problem with the controls, after you get used to it you can easily do the advanced moves. I still think it is hard to do an alley-oop though... I have only done 3 so far. But who cares? Great Controls

LOADING 10/10
There is NO LOADING, except when you are saving, which only takes a second. This is very cool when you need to play quickly. You will be playing basketball before you even know it. In fact, it's faster than real basketball. Isn't that cool? Perfect Loading

STORY N/A
Sports games don't need stories, which is why I put N/A here. If they did have a story, it would be crummy anyway... How can you explain basketball?

SOUND 9/10
The announcers do get boring, but you can turn their voices all the way down. Besides that, sound is perfect. On instant replay, sometimes the same sound changes if you do it again but that is not a problem. Good sound

INTEREST 10/10
This game never gets boring. You can always top your old season, and arcade is just fun. A challenge for the masters: Can you beat the Lakers on hard mode with the Wizards? I can not, it is too hard. Kobe is a killer. Incredible interest.

OVERALL 10/10
If you have a Gamecube, this game is worth buying. Unless of course, you hate basketball. But if you like Basketball, this game is for you. It has excellent graphics, great controls, good sound, and incredible interest. A perfect ten for this one. Well maybe it could be an eleven...
