"Jammin it home with N-B-A Street ball!"

The basketball game of the Gamecube, and definately the best. NBA Street takes every element of a game of 21 and puts it into this great game. Every sound is crystal clear, and graphics are...great!

Controls 8/10: The controls feel a bit funny at first, but are easy to get used to. The crossovers, spins, tricks, and other cool moves are easily mastered at the touch of a button. The control stick feels very comfortable, and I would prefer it any day compared to the D-pad. The R and L buttons are great turbo buttons, and work good for trick dunks. (To do a trick dunk, you would hold L + Z (example) and then press B (shoot).) The big problem here is the Z button. It is very odd to press and hold the R, L, and Z buttons in different combonations and still be able to press the B button to jam the ball.

Graphics 10/10: The back of the box tells it all...It looks great and give the game a prefect mood for every level. The levels always have something original in them, and look great. If graphics are all that matter to you in a game, get this game...now.

Sounds 9/10: The sound is also great. All of the different things people say are accually pretty comical, but can get repetitive over time. The announcer does a great job and sounds perfect. When you dunk, some girl says the dunk you did out loud. That girl sounds freaky and isn't very clear. Also, I don't know if it's just my TV, but the sound seems to crakle a lot. Overall, great sound. Just beware of the sound of the girl after you jam it home... :)

Gameplay 8/10: The gameplay is great. How could you not love jamming a basketball over your freind in a game of 21? Or blocking a shot and screaming ''Get outta my house!!''. It's fun, and funny. The reason why an eight is given here is that the game gets repetitive, a seems a bit slow compared to other top games like NBA Hangtime or NBA Showtime. Overall, a fun game to play.

Multiplayer 7/10: The best part of this game. As I said in the last paragraph, How could you not love jamming a basketball over your freind in a game of 21, Or blocking a shot and screaming ''Get outta my house!!''. Also, this keeps a good record of all games played with other humans, etc. One Biiig problemo. They is only a two player mode, and no support for four players... Greatly affecting this score.

Overall: The game is fun, and I can't stop playing it. But there are just some factors in this game that really bug me...And they have to hurt the score. Also, there must be four player multiplayer in a game like this. There is just no reason not to have it. If you enjoy street basketball, remember street basketball, pick this up now. If not, my freind has NBA Courtside and he says he likes it a lot, and that is more of a normal basktetball game. Depending on which game you would like, buy one, but please rent it first. I had my doubts about this game when I first turned it on, but it got better. I don't know if the same thing will happen to you. But buy it if you liked the rental, because this game has great replayability.
