"Finally another worthy fighter has just landed on the Cube"

Summary: Bloody Roar :Primal Fury is somewhat of a super enhanced port of the PS2 ''Bloody Roar3''. While not an entirely new game, it still deserves a purchase if you're even the least bit interested in the Bloody Roar series.

Gameplay: 7/10 - Yes, it's true, this game may be more of a button masher than anything eles....but it's one of the most fun fighting games on the market today. So, it's a butoon masher, but Guess what, that's actually a good thing. ''Why?'' you ask. Simple, it's because it plays as one of those games that almost anyone can pick up and play. Now I'm not saying that your 5 year old little cousin will be able to kick you butt but you won't have to worry too much about becoming a ''master'' at this game to be able to win every round. The game does have strategic moves such as counters , blocks, and side steps, but it's nowhere near as deep as say, DOA3. The matches are played in different sized closed quarter arenas, with breakable walls allowing for ringouts. The Fighters all have their own personality and different fighting style except for maybe ''Long'' and his evil twin of sorts, ''ShenLong'' and ''Bakaryu'' and his evil twin of sorts. If you didn't know by know, all the fighters have the ability to instantly transform into a beast/animal in the heat of battle. this of course, is what makes BR so fun to play and separates it from all the other fighters out there. There's plenty of combos and special moves for you to use, including the Super SUPER moves preformed by the Beasts. Other things are cheats and secrets to be found while playing the game.

Graphics: 9/10 - Honestly the only fighter that can beat BR in terms of graphics is DOA3, Sorry VF4, as Cronos would say,''better luck next time''. All the player Models are very well detailed with facial expressions, visible veins, and moving cloth.....and that's nothing compared to when they're in beast form. The Arenas, although have a simpler design to them, have nearly perfect texture models and a really pretty decent. Some seem to have had more time spent on them, Like the Freeway, with it's interactive moving cars. All of the super moves and Beast Drives have excellent partical effects flying all over the screen. Sparks, blur effect, smoke effect, flashes, you name it, BR:PR's probably go it. Oh and you gotta love those short but sweet anime FMV's.

Sound: 7/10 - The music in this game has a mixture of Guitar riffed tracks to mellowy blues like tracks to upbeat techno songs. Nothing in particular stands out but it's basically the kind of music you'd expect to hear in this kind of game. Don't go out there looking to hear any Orchestrated tracks cause this just ain't that kind of game.
The Characters all have a bit of voice sample i.e. battle cries, yells and taunts of such. Most of the voices fit the character perfectly and none seem totally out of place or anything like that. The Beasts also sound great, and are far above average if you ask me. They sound like something off of the discovery channel....real authentic stuff here people. The Punches and Kicks sound really good but aren't as good as the sounds heard in DOA3 or VF4. Unless you HATE the kind of music it has, don't turn the volume down on this one.

Replayability: 6/10 - Let's face it, not many fighters are known for their great replay value aside from Soul Calibur and Marvel Vs Capcom2. With that in mind, try to get some friends or family to play with you every once in awhile to keep it from ''getting old''

Buy/Rent? Defintely a buy. If you consider yourself a ''hardcore only'' game fan then try a rent first. Great graphics, good sound, decent gameplay....oh yea, it's all good.
Overall score: 7.5 but I'll give it an 8
