"You want to compare it to Goldeneye? Fine then."

Ever since the golden days of Goldeneye, there has not been another 007 game that has come close because reviewers and players alike base it on Goldeneye and how it matches up to it. I got this game because I loved the other 007's and I went to EB and traded in 2 of my games just for this one. In my review, I am going to try to compare Goldeneye to Agent Under Fire to see the difference in the game. I will also judge it on itself because it is a game on its own and does not deserve to be judged by a different game.

Graphics: 10

This is not a fair comparison when it comes to graphics. Of course AUF is gonna win this one because of the system. When not comparing the 2, the graphics are smooth and non quirky. They use a lot of the GCN's ability to give us the best graphics they have to offer.

Play Control: 9

This cannot also be compared. They have 2 completly different contollers. When you ask how easy it was to control each game, both are almost flawless. What AUF does better in my opinion is that it is easier to cycle through the weapons and it shows you how to use the controls right before the level to refresh your memory. Again, Agent Under Fire wins again. Although, you do have to get used to it like all games, this just takes a little longer. You can also configure it to 4 different settings.

Game Design: 10

In Goldeneye, you have one mode: shoot em up. In Agent Under Fire, you have shoot em up and you get to drive Bond's cool cars. AUF's missions may seem easier than Goldeneye, but it still has 3 different difficulties. In this section, they are at a tie. I think that AUF went beyond the shoot em up with the car rides. These are probably the best levels in the game. It's Grand Theft Auto and Bond in one.

Replay/Satisfaction: 10

I don't know yet, but so far Goldeneye wins this one. People still play this game for its' multiplayer. The thing is, AUF just came out so we will have to see. They added bots like Perfect Dark and limited it to 4 going at once so it isn't so hectic. I think I will be playing this game with my friends for a while. What can I say? It's Bond.

Sound: 8

It is Bond music. It sounds good, but it gets old, in both games.

Final Scores and Comments

If you haven't seen the rest of my reviews here is how I rate the game:

Graphics = 15%
Controls = 20%
Game Design = 25%
Satisfaction = 30%
Sound = 10%

Final Score:

Graphics = 10 (1.5)
Controls = 9 (1.8)
Game Design = 10 (2.5)
Satisfaction = 10 (3.0)
Sound = 8 (.8)

OVERALL: 10/10 (9.6)

All I can say is that Goldeneye needs to watch out cause this game is a great contender to Goldeneye. Buy it.
