Cel Damage
Review by GameFreak903
"Cel Damage, a game all its own!"
When I first heard about and saw pics of Cel Damage, It looked like a great game to play on my new Gamecube. So I rented it and tested it out. It actually wasn't half bad, but, like most games, there were quite a few flaws. All this information listed in my Review below, pick a category and read on about this game all its own.
-GAMEPLAY- 7
This game was non-stop action packed! Each level had me on the edge of my seat. Each weapon that opened up made me crave for even more chaos! All the demented, lunatic characters were actually pretty funny, and the secret characters were fun to try and get. The 3 optional choices of play like racing or smack attack helps extend the gameplay a little. However, there are only 4 worlds. The four player mode can get a little confusing at times and you constantly are getting chopped, shredded, and crushed by many different objects or weapons. The racing can get a bit aggravating because of running into things or the people going head on and everyone goes in a different direction. Plus, this game is pretty short and sweet. You could probably finish every stage in every category in about 3-4 days.
-SOUND- 9
The sound in the game isn't half bad. The character's voices are funny and spice the game up a bit. I mean, it's fun taunting your friend after you've cut him in half with a buzzsaw!
-CONTROLS- 7
Yes the game may be OK, but the controls are terrible. All you got pretty much is a go and brake button that are hard to find at first. The cars slide back and forth a lot and usually don't stay on the track much, but you get the hang of it after a couple of hours.
-GRAPHICS- 10
I LOVE the cartoonish look of the game. It helps the game become a lot funnier and fun. It looks like a Twisted Metal crossed with Looney Tunes. Pretty much, it looks incredibly good.
-OVERALL- 8
Yes, this game has a lot to offer. It has a great cartoonish look and is fun for a while. However, it also has its downsides too. The controls are sluggish and the game is a little too short. Pretty much this game is worth renting, it probably isn't worth buying unless you want another Gamecube game to have in your collection! So in conclusion, this game is pretty fun and exciting, but has a few flaws of it's own. However, it's one of those games that you just need to rent and judge for yourself!
