SSX Tricky
Review by Big Dawg
"One word...... Tricky"
Here is the amazing sequel to the first SSX.
Graphics 9/10
All of the Characters are fully detailed in every area, (including Luthers crack). One of the oonly flaws is when you are going down in deep powder, like in Untracked, and your board dissappears nd reppears.
Gameplay 10/10
You can choose from a wide variety of courses, to ride with a huge variety of boarders who are both male and female. When you reach the mountain from the easy-to-navigate menu you will either be playing in a race against others to the bottom, a ''showoff'' mode in which you use all of the tricks that are easy to do and can be viewed through the pause menu. The other option is to do a free ride in which you can do what you please. All of the tricks are amazing and the ''Uber'' tricks are just crazy!
Originality 9/10
A great variety of original tricks and of course the characters and venues. It would have got 10 if this was the first of its type but it is a sequel and they both share many of the same qualities. Some of the specials just make you jump out of your chair yelling,''where they heck did they come up with that move!!''
Sound/In-game music 9/10
well at first when you play all of the courses the songs seem preety good but after hours they become a lot more boring. The reason sound scored so high is because of the amazing voices of the boarders. Each has a good selection of sayings that really suit there personalities. This would have got ten but that ''Tricky'' song is just to annoying.
Challange 7/10
It wasn't too hard but several of the levels kept me mad for a while. The length of this game is asstonishing because of the amount of characters you have to beat it with. Race is far to easy, but however showoff mode may provide a challenge for some, but for gamers who have played the Tony Hawk series, it would be easy.
Replayability 8.5/10
this game is extremely addictive. Once you play it once you don't wanna turn it off. Nut after 2 or 3 weeks it gets stale and it becomes boring.
Rent Or Buy
If Your a fan of Tony Hawk like Games or Snowboarding games Run to the Store Now. I'm not a huge fan of this genre but still loved it. You Can find it for about 50 bucks Canadian (30 American). If not it makes an excellent rental.
