Gauntlet Dark Legacy

"Brilliant.........Absolutely brilliant."

STORY: I really liked the plot for this game. It's a classic good versus evil battle, but it's not a cliche. Basically, your goal is to destroy a beast named Skorne. Just one problem. He's sealed him self in a little place called the Temple of Desecration. In order to open it and come face-to-face with the beast, you must collect the shards scattered around the realms of the tower. Easier said than done. Skorne is no fool. He's entrusted the precious shards with his personal guardians. These guardians can't just be attacked directly either. You must collect legendary items to defeat them with.

GRAPHICS:10/10 I was really impressed with these graphics. They are really smooth and clear. This game has paid more attention to detail than any other I've ever seen. They are never choppy or slow, and the characters and enemies look great. If you like cinemas, this is the game for you. There are a lot of cinemas in this game, including a really cool one at the beginning. Overall, the graphics are great!

SOUND:9/10 This games sound is really good. There are several different types of music, each one appropriate for the level it's been assigned to. There are a ton of sound effects in this game. They are really clear and and make you feel like you're really in the game. So why didn't I give this game's sound a 10? The characters hardly ever say anything. The only time they talk is when they get an item or some food. Don't get me wrong though. The sound in this game is really good!

CONTROLS:10/10 Let's just get right down to it. This game's controls are superb! They take all of 5 seconds to learn. They can even be adjusted to your liking! What I really liked is that the turbo attacks are the same for all the characters.

CHARACTER SELECTION:10/10 The field of characters in this game is huge! You can be anything from a warrior to a jester. They are all balanced to fit different player's needs. And if the number of characters isn't enough, you can even choose what color you want them to be! There are even several secret characters to unlock! I won't spoil the surprise for you, but you'll be impressed with the character selections.

REPLAY VALUE:10/10 Probably this game's strongest point. You can beat the game with every character. If you get to a certain level with one, the other's still stay at level one. So you will have to start over with that character. Trust me, this game is addictive enough that you will want to beat it with every character. One thing's for certain. This game will keep you playing for a while.

DIFFICULTY:5/10 This game has an average difficulty. It can even be adjusted. Some parts are hard, some parts are easy. What more is there to say?

OVERALL:10/10 This game is superior! If you liked the other Gauntlets, this game is a must! It's extremely addictive and really fun! One thing is for certain though. Not buying this game is a mistake!
