NBA Courtside 2002

"Great game. With a few flaws"

Introduction:

NBA courtside 2002 is good game. I mean good, but a few things keep this game from perfect. Careless flaws if I may say so myself.

Graphics 10/10:

The best thing in the game. It is so realistic to a real basketball game that your friends will walk in and believe that you are watching a real basketball game, the only thing that gives it away is the fact that you have a Gamecube controller in your hands, truly amazing! The grafics in a normal game include; The lights reflecting of the floor (WOW), Tatoos on the players arms (Like Allen Iverson), and the crown in their seats (Which is 3D). In all you have to admit that the grafics knock you out!

Sound 4/10

This is what really hurts the game BAD. If the sound were better I would like the game more than I do (I still like the game). One thing that makes the sound bad is because of the anouncer. The announcer always says the same things they don't have a variety of phrases. The announcer may sound okay when you first get the game but over time they get very annoying. I turn the sound off when I play now. Another bad thing about the sound is the songs in the backround. Not a large variety there either. That is why I don't like the sound very much.

Gameplay 9/10

For most people this is the most important part of a game. Well in NBA Courtside2002 the gameplay isn't a weakness, it is a sterenth. The main game, or NBA season play is good. They give you the option to play 82 games like the pros. You could also skip the season and go right to the playoffs with your favorite teams in NBA playoffs to win it all. Thats not all they give you! You can play the 3-point contest. Or do practice in the gym! They even give you the choice to make your own character with stats and name and apperence. NBA Courside lets you do a lot of things making a great gameplay!

Replay Value Mod-High

This will vary from person to person. I do reccomend you be a fan of basketball so you will like this game more but finishing an 82 game season may be good enough that is why I said it varys.

A good game in all but rent it first and see if you like it. Great game for B-ball gamers everywhere
